A trip to see "ho ho"

I must say that I did black & white this picture just because I looked straight up AWFUL. I had worked two thirds with hardly any sleep and got up early to go to church before going into work for 2nd shift. Charli on the other hand looked perfect that day. The colors in that dress are a little funky and 70's looking (lime greens, browns, etc) but she looked great it in. I took her to the mall tonight with the help of my parents to get a quick picture of her with "ho ho" aka Santa. She was so excited on the way there and while getting ready. When it came down to it...this is as good as it got. (Charli and her Pa)I guess I will talk to her for a few days and then try again. lol. We are having our Christmas pictures made tomorrow afternoon. Our cards for this Holiday season is going to be a dvd of the last year of Charli Beth's life random pictures and video clips. We did this for the 1st birthday invitations, and everyone LOVED them. Plus, Charli loves watching herself on it!Anyways, I am kind of glad that the Thanksgiving holiday has passed. If you read my top ten..know you've been a dispatcher to long when..you will see both that you dont know what Holidays really are when being a dispatcher, and that the holidays are families getting together and fighting. This is so very true. I have never experinced so many domestics involving guns and knives. Maybe they'll have it all out of their systems before Christmas gets here!
Hope everyone has had a great weekend!

you know you've been a dispatcher to long when...

10. You believe in aerial spraying of Prozac and/or birth control over certain parts of your city.
9. Your idea of a good night involves someone getting shot, chased or dismembered.
8. You can carry om more than 4 conversations same time.
7. You have a long term telephonic relationship with one or more paranoid, schizophrenic, PTSD suffering people in your city.
6. You have forgotten what it's like to actually eat a warm meal.
5. You find humor in other people's misery.
4. You hear a fire engine or police car go screaming past your house and you wonder not what's happening, but who's going.
3. You can resume a conversation with co-workers 4 hours later, in mid sentence, and everyone know what you are talking about.
2. You have no idea what a holiday is, other than it's the day when everyone gets drunk and beats up their family members.
1. You truly believe that stupidity should be painful.

(FYI: you will probably only understand this if you are a dispatcher yourself or are in type of law enforcement, or ems. Either way, it gave me a good laugh!!)

This Black Friday started out for my Mom, Krystina and I at the outlet malls in Lebanon, TN. They opened up at midnight, and it was pretty crowded but nothing like Walmart was at 5 am I am sure. We got some really good deals at Gymboree, and a few other places. We got home around 5:30 this morning, and I didnt leave the house except to get lunch for the rest of the day until the evening. Which our little town wasn't crazy, I was just exhausted! I think Black Friday is more of a excitement for my Family and I to get ready for the Holidays. I dont think there is any thing that valueable or that AWESOME to trample a man to death. In saying that, I am not sure if you guys have heard about that but if not look it up on MSN. What is wrong with people?? It says they are watching the security cameras to see if there was any criminal action taken place. Well DUH! Those people should be punished, they took a mans life for material items. Come on people...

I have been tagged for the first time!

I really thought that my blog was pretty much only being read by my wonderful Mother and Mrs. Ivana Clay (just because she's from the ville), and a few others. But I was very surprised to be tagged out of nowhere by CathyJean! So here I am ...playing the game =)

Here are the rules:

Rule #1 ~ Link to the person that tagged you.
Rule #2 ~ Post the rules on your Blog.
Rule #3 ~ Write 6 random things about yourself.
Rule #4 ~ Tag 6 people at the end of your post.
Rule #5 ~ Let each person know that they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their Blog. Rule #6 ~ Let the tagger know your entry is up.

#1: I do not like the rain. It's cold and rainy outside, and all it does for me, is make me want to sleep! I have never enjoyed the rain...well, except for playing it in OF COURSE!

#2: I love pineapples. I wish that I could have fresh pineapple for breakfast EVERY morning. Just fruit in general is something my little one and I have always loved.

#3: I love old quilts. My Mom and I have been collecting them for years now. She trys to steal mine all the time. But she doesn't know whenever Charli and I move out, they'll be going with us *hehehe*

#4: I wish I could cook! lol. Wait....I wish I could cook like Rachel Ray and my Mother. They are both Amazing...and I just love Rach's show!

1st Dentist Appt.

Charli Beth had her first dentist appt. this morning and it went actually pretty well! I was very pleased at how big she acted! She was very excited that they gave her a new tooth brush and a fishy toy! Lol. They said they all of her teeth were in, besides her 2-3 yr old molars *sp*! There was one thing that she didnt like at all, which was when they made me hold her down to the chair towards my feet while the dentist looked in her mouth. Which what kid would like that? I was going to take a picture of her this morning before we left (yes, I kinda thought it was a big deal lol) but she wanted to wear this hat while we were outside. Not just a hat, but she has to take the straps that keep the hat tight and velcro it around her neck! hahaha. It so funny! I am going to have to post some video of this little chick on here soon.
Hope everyone has had a great Monday!

Well, I am at work, agian on a Friday night. I'd rather be at home cuddled up next to the youngin' or snuggled into my old ragged quilts. But I've had some pretty exciting calls tonight, and some really good laughs at this guy that keeps calling up here. I was told that I was agging *sp?* him on, so I had to stop laughing, oh well...more funny stories to tell the Moms. Why is it in the work place that people have to give out so much money for supervisors and bosses? Okay. Wait. That sounds kind of mean. I dont like the fact that they kind of make it mandatory for you to give them atleast so much money. I just dont think that is right, in all aspects of everyone? Some peoples situations are different than other peoples. I posted that graphic above because I was laughing with a friend the other day, saying it was funny that I pray to know how to pray "good." But is there ever a real perfect prayer? Isn't a prayer just pouring your heart and soul our to the Lord, and thanking him for all of the blessings in your life? Comment if you would like, on this. I just was thinking about it, it's 3:38 in the morning, so my thinking cap gets to turning with nobody in the City...OR County to talk to!
Have a great Saturday!

This is probably going to be my most random post, ever. Yes, even by passing my "100 things you may not know about me" post. (I'm serious Coy Lee!) I have had a lot on my heart the past...well few days to be honest. This election and the scare of everything has really burden my heart. Everyone is probably laughing at this. But I am being honest. I said that I was going to leave it to God, but i fully did not. I have been questioning and wondering...even reading the bible which it seems that I never do. I have not ever been one to understand the bible. Although, as I was getting my hair done by this wonderful girlie Amber the other day she was telling me of a women's bible that would help me understand the bible for sure! Yay to that! I have been having talks about the scriptures of the bible tonight with one of the officers, he has helped me understand the book of revelations more than I did whenever I came into work tonight. I thank that my heart has been hurting tonight over a few things and also feeling very blessed. I am blessed for the things that I have in my life and the things that I do not. It is funny that some days, I am thankful for being a single Mother. It has made me strive harder than I ever thought possible. The people that I have dated since Charli has been born, say that I am way to independent. I believe God makes me this way, for a reason. I am thankful for the houses, and things that we have in our home. I always get in such a "tizzy" when dispatching out fires to houses (as yes, I did do tonight). My heart beats more out of my chest than any other call..besides anything that has to do with infants or children) You would thank it would be wrecks that I had such a problem with. Since the wreck that I had, and how much fear I always have of having another. But I knew that day laying down on the ground after being thrown from that spilt in half maxima..that God was with me. Wow, I'm getting very random! I am thankful for the friends and family that I have in my life. After working 3rd shift last night, I went home to get ready to go to Christmas open houses at the Primitive stores around the county. I seen a sign in one that said " The ones in my life that care, is all that I need" or something to that sort. This is very true. I do not have many friends. Wait, I have my Mother. That bothers me some days. I will NEVER forget, sitting in my Mom's lap whenever I was pregnant crying my eyes out because I didn't have any friends. I had a friend that I thought was a best friend that I had been friends with for years that would not come around me because I guess I wasn't enough fun anymore. I pray for that girl, because my life is so much better now. As that also reminds me of the quote "People say that I have changed. I have not changed, I have just found myself" ....okay I'll stop with the randomness.

A friend from school, that I graduated with, went to Junior year prom with, followed my volleyball team every that is over seas with the Army has called me several times the past few days. It is such a great ..HONOR, to hear from him. He always puts a smile on my face telling me that it makes him so happy to talk to someone from back home. He has done so well for himself since High School and everyone I know is very proud of him. I pray for him to be safe until his return in February or March.

Charli Beth has grown into her Terrible two's stage. Yes, I thought we were already there. But no no no ...I think this is it. Don't get me wrong, she is not a bad a child, what-so-ever. She just likes to play when Charli wants too. LoL. She is still the same funny little girl, that we all just love and adore. I hope to learn more techniques as a Mommy, to teach her patience, how to share, and etc. Which she does just fine at, but I want her to be great at it! haha! Is that possible? One thing that she for sure gets from her Momma, is her Independence! I just wish sometimes, it wasn't so much a struggle being a Mommy, to get children to let you help them! I'm the pot calling the kettle black. Mom was saying today that she thinks that Charli has just grown up so much in the last month with putting things together! Oh and we went to the doctor Thursday. Charli was 25.2 pounds and 34 inches! That is a big improvement from her 4.2lbs, and 17 inches.

I have also read a blog tonight called "Bring the Rain" that has really touched me tonight. If you have the time, I suggest reading it. It will touch your heart, for sure.

Well, I better get back to the nightly weekend life of Paige at 911. Which involves; myspace, facebook,TV,TEXTING, some slight studying for my NREMT (which I need to get done.)....and FOOD!

Have a great Sunday.

I had planned on writing a post about the election whenever it was all done and over with so I could look back and see how it all was at a later date. Honestly, I never want to re-live last night, again. So I will not post anything except that God is in Control, and I have poured my heart out to him about this.

I also, really want to get out some heartache and I suppose anger right now. I read topix.com all the time. Yes, I admit it! Will be the first one to do so! No, I do not write ANYTHING on there except if it is saying "people change..please leave them be" or if it is written with my personal name no it. Tonight I was reading the Good preachers/churches forum and read all of the sad, horrible things that people were writing about that good ole preacher and man that I love dearly Bro. Danny Patrick. It honestly made me go into tears reading this stuff. I cannot honestly say how it made me feel. I feel sorry for these people. I think I have a feeling of who started writing this, and it is just a shame of how people can be. I did write a comment on this page, and maybe tomorrow I will be angry at the awful things it will say about me and my past. But I am a big girl, I know I have made mistakes, and I have put them behind me. I hope it will give this good man and his family a break from what that person is saying though.

I'm single, again. who would of thought? =) haha. Its okay though. If it's right and meant it will all work itself out, if not. He is a great guy and I have made a great friend. Anyways, Charli Beth and Patrick Reid played together tonight and they did so great! We just love Patrick and his big brother Seth! They are honestly the prettiest little boys I have EVER seen! You just have to love them, and not to mention that Momma of theirs =)

Charli Beth and I had a great 3rd Halloween together (wow, cant believe we have already shared 3 together!)! I cannot believe how pig my girl has grown to be. She looked so beautiful today. She went to the babysitters this morning so that I could clean her room very good! I went to pick her up today and we went to her favorite place to eat (MEXICAN!) She loves eating Chips and Salsa! lol. Which I think is so very werid?!? Well, we were eating and talking just having a great Mommy and Daughter time. I asked if she slept good while taking her nap at Jenifer's and she said yes...I then asked what she dreamed about and she said, "Jesus." Which I thought was so cute! So I said, "Well, what did Jesus say to you in your dreams?" ...she replied with "GO TO SLEEP!" hahaha. Okay? So maybe you had to be there. But my child has the the spirit in her. The Lord works through children, and esp. mine I believe! We went to our few good friends (Cooksey, and aunt peggy's ...see above pics!) which Charli beth just always loves to see. Esp. the fire trucks at Cooksey's shop! We then went to Faye's/Maw's to meet the rest of the family for our traditional get together. My mom and I took Charli Beth trick or treating up and down her street. Which was just about enough for a two year old! Lol! We had a great 3rd Halloween together! I'm now at work...So I assume, I better stop typing about the little chickie and get running some OL's =)
Have a great Saturday!
p.s.
I cannot believe it's already NOVEMBER!

Story of Mommy

My photo
I am a sinner saved by the grace of God. A wife to the 5oh, and Mother to Charli Beth and Bryar. This is my story of Motherhood, life experiences and sometimes even my overwhelming heart all typed out. I believe in second chances, yet the firm hand of parenting. That sweet tea is of the comfort food category. Chickens belong in every backyard. Children should each have a responsibility of their own while helping take care of duties in the home. Sports are a must for our family, and we spend many nights on courts or fields. We consistently feel new to each of the experiences that are brought into our lives. But we are always excited for the journey in which God has given us.
