I figured that this would be an easier way for me to look back in the next few years whenever trying to go through my old posts. Fa-lala-la la

Warning: Picture Overload

We've had the most wonderful Christmas this year with Charli Beth. She is at the perfect age to get extremely excited about Santa and all of the gifts that she received. I loved watching her eyes light up as she started to realize what a present was.

I have to admit that I was very stressed over this Christmas and worried about "if" Charli was going to be happy with what I was able to get her. But God has provided us more loving family members (and...my boyfriend & his family) than I could of ever asked for. Not that this is what Christmas is all about, but every parent worries about this during the Holiday season.

We had Christmas with Mark's parents on Wednesday since his Dad, Mom and him all had to work on Christmas (the fun part of being firefighters and a nurse) It is very easy to tell that Charli Beth is going to be spoiled by them!

She was so excited!!

Mark's Mom had a Western Kentucky cheer leading outfit made for her! So adorable!

Christmas Eve, we spent the day with Mark and the rest of my family. Charli and I tried baking sugar cookies for Santa but to honest if Santa would of ate our cookies, he wouldn't have made it to the rest of the houses to drop off toys (no joke...they were that bad). Not to mention I burnt my thumb and threw the cookies pan across the floor, along with the cookies. Our gingerbread man, stocking, Christmas tree became mush. Thank goodness my dear sister was brave enough to take a few big bites out of them that night for Santa.

I actually had to wake Charli the next morning to come see what was left for her under the tree. She was so excited to get her Barbies that she knew she had asked for. She kept saying "This is what I told him I wanted!" Such a cute moment. Later that day she told me that she thought that Santa was trying to trick her with the Barbies because she thought she was only get a bag of rocks?! I wonder who told her that. ha!

haha.

I have to admit that I love this super hero cape probably more than her.
I've been trying to get her to wear it everywhere!

So precious

Aunt Peggy, Charli Beth, and baby doll Hallie (or Hoolie..idk)

I hope that all of you had the most wonderful Christmas weekend!

Christmas Ballet Performance

Charli Beth's ballet class did a very small performance for the parents last Thursday morning. It was so cute and fun to watch!

My little girl, is so grown up! The entire time I was watching her I just wanted to run up and hug on to her, telling her to stay small forever! It won't be to much longer and I'll be seeing her at school maybe doing choir performances or who knows what! Just hopefully not in the principals office! She is such a blessing in my life and I am just tickled to death to be her Momma!

The class showed us a few of their moves that they have learned over the past few months and the teacher read the, "Night Before Christmas." I have two videos that I am going to post along with these pictures, although they are not very long. I know I know... I am a crazzzzy picture taken Momma. But I just wish you could of been there to see how funny & adorable it was! She knew the positions they were standing in, and just had to be the first one to yell out the name of it. I hope she learns some patience and a little more of a attention span before starting school! haha.

Mrs. Char's ( Charlotte) facial expressions are hilarious!

Well..it's not letting me paste the videos on to my blog so click here or here.

The first one is about a minute & a half long and the second is barely 40 seconds.

Charlie Brown (ICE)

Saturday my family headed down to Nashville to the Opryland Hotel to see Charlie Brown ICE! It was pretty amazing, even if the temperatures in the building were only 6 degrees or cooler. Charli Beth has been excited for a while about meeting Charlie Brown and wearing those blue coats (they are not anything to be excited about, you just have to know my random kiddo). I didn't take my camera in, due to it's size so I had to steal borrow some pictures from my Mom & Sister. This is the only picture of Charli Beth that they were able to get besides w/ Charlie Brown (which I'll have to show later)

This nativity scene was at the very end, and it was simply breath taking. These sculptures
amaze me.

2 that I love.

images by: TLC.

Some people may disagree with me but I love the Duggar Family and I love the values they teach in each and everyone of the children. They are truly amazing to me, enough said. I read yesterday on a blog that Michelle had an emergency c-section at 25 weeks. Baby Josie Brooklyn made her arrival, weighing only 1lb 6 oz. although she is in stable conditions. Here is the TLC press release:

"Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar welcomed baby 19 earlier than expected on Thursday, December 10, at University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.

Michelle, who has been in the hospital recovering from a gallstone, was taken to the OR for an emergency c-section. Daughter Josie Brooklyn was born at 6:27 p.m. weighing 1lb., 6 oz.

Michelle is resting comfortably and baby is stable and in the NICU for extended care. The most important thing right now is for Mom and baby Josie to get as much rest as possible. The family is grateful for all the prayers and well wishes during their recovery. "

You can click here for more information.

Please keep this family in your prayers!

p.s. If you have any bad comments (which I do not think anyone that followers my blog will) please keep them to yourself because frankly....I do not care to see them.

I love this commercial.

Charli and I cannot get enough of it. Since I seen it on Brit's blog I had to share it with you, because I just love these kiddos.

I love my comfy sweater! ha!

O' Christmas Tree

Our beautiful primitive tree =)

My Mother always does a wonderful job decorating.
I hope she plans to do mine when...errr..If I ever move out ;o)

I hope to post some pictures of our other Christmas decorations.

This week has been insanely crazy. I've had a crazy, mixed up, seriously insane schedule this entire week due to a sudden in-service training for one of the other dispatchers. (I won't go there though) I am actually off tonight to go with Mark to BGFD's Christmas dinner for his shift. This is one of the only times that Mark and I have done anything without Charli Beth. I just know that it is going to break her heart but she will be spending some quality time with her Nana & Pa! Just hopefully Mark will still like love me while I'm not in Mommy-mode, although I am sure that regular ole' Paige is just plain ole boring now. ha!

Charli had her second dentist appointment on Monday and I was so very nervous on how this was all going to take place. If it was going to be a Charli Beth thrown down or if she would like it. I figured that there would be a one in a million chance that she would actually be good and sit through this. BUT---
she did perfect.
I was the proudest Mommy in the world that day. I called everyone in our family and told them how great she was. I've heard of a lot of little ones her age or younger lately that have cavities and I was very nervous about this. No worries this go around though, her teeth looked fantastic! Charli did receive a "good girl gift" which I am actually against (giving gifts whenever they are good somewhere) but it's been a hard time lately and I was happy to see her get a toy. This toy just so happen to be the most gawdy, cheap, hideous plastic high heels for little girls. Not just one pair but four. She has had so much fun dressing up, singing, dancing, playing marching band and showing off in these heels, even if her Pa does hate them. I just pray she doesn't break an ankle in them!

Oh yea! Guess who is coming to Bowling Green tonight that I am missing out on?

I suppose this shows that I really am a good girlfriend for missing my eye candy.
Right hunny?

Hometown Christmas

Saturday was the local Christmas parade that my family and I alway head out to then come back to our home for chili, soup, and snacks. We always have the best time with out family, not to mention the good food. I finally made the red velvet cake balls (first time was Thanksgiving) and they have become a huge hit around here. They are way to sweet for this girl though! Charli loved the parade, most of all the marching band & the fire trucks. Her face just lit up everytime something she liked would come by. Although, if you are from a small town fire trucks, horses and the marching band is almost the entire parade. A little redneck, but we enjoy it!

Last week we attended the Hometown Christmas, which was held on our square. Not many people showed up for the due to the weather being so cold, but we bundled up and headed up there so that we could get a few discounts at the local stores.

Story of Mommy

My photo
I am a sinner saved by the grace of God. A wife to the 5oh, and Mother to Charli Beth and Bryar. This is my story of Motherhood, life experiences and sometimes even my overwhelming heart all typed out. I believe in second chances, yet the firm hand of parenting. That sweet tea is of the comfort food category. Chickens belong in every backyard. Children should each have a responsibility of their own while helping take care of duties in the home. Sports are a must for our family, and we spend many nights on courts or fields. We consistently feel new to each of the experiences that are brought into our lives. But we are always excited for the journey in which God has given us.
