While you're still young...

I can finally say that for once I have been so very busy that I have not had time to blog!

This beautiful lady got married last Saturday!
It was such a very sweet wedding!

Look at how pretty her cake was!
Adorable.
The top layer was Strawberry daiquiri and the bottom was Funfetti!
Yum!

I was actually a bridesmaid but have zero pictures.

After the wedding was over my Mother and I got busy working on items for a yard sale on Saturday. I love having yard sales and love going to them also. There is just so much happiness in getting rid of a ton of things that you do not need anymore, and other people getting the things that they do need!
We sell all of Charli's clothes at our yard sale instead of messing with Ebay but I think that I am going to start trying again with Ebay on the smocked dresses. We are asking $15 at the sale for them because well lets be frank...they aren't cheap! Some people jump right on them and then some look at us like we're crazy.

We have had a ton of people to ask if they can shop early at our sale but with my work schedule it's just not possible. Is that rude? Or is it rude to let people shop early when there is a lot of people asking?

BIG NEWS....
no I'm not preggers ;o)

I applied to be a WKU student again today =)

How exciting right?!

I have been wanting to do this for a while and after some serious talks with my boyfriend I made the decision that this is the time to do it! It has been very stressful and I have made a million phones calls to them but finally my application is submitted and they said it would be ready in a few days.

I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders but really....
my stress is going to be at an all time high in a few weeks.

I was sitting at work starting to doubt myself and then I heard this song:

There are going to be a LOT of changes in my life in the next few months and I am more than ready for them! Hopefully everything will go right and I will be a WKU student this fall!

Bestie is a Bachelorette {for now}

My best friend Krystina is getting married this Saturday and I am a bridesmaid in her darling wedding! Krystina and Justin have been together since our Senior year in High School and have 4 year old Kaylen together - that is Charli's best friend!

Charli is only a week older than Kaylen but was suppose to be a month and a half younger. You see that is how Char and I roll..we like to do things first, show off a little bit ya know!

This weekend Krystina, myself and our friend Lindsey headed down to Nashville to have a mini Bachelorette party for Kiki. Even though there was only 3 of us we had a blast. We danced on the bar at Coyote Ugly but we were a little bit nervous and not sure what in the world we were doing, it was a blast though! But let me tell you the girls that work there have it going on like no other!

I'm not sure how people party every single weekend of their lives? Whoa! I would die. It costs way to much. I think I'll just be a boring old Mommy from now on!

I'm not allowed to post any pictures of our night per Krystina, but what she doesn't understand is EVERYTHING has to be Facebook approved! If it's not on Facebook then it NEVER happened! ha.

BUT

This isn't facebook so whatever.

;o)

Oh and I have a new hair rocking hair style that I must show off!Lindsey & MyselfKrystina & Lindsey & silly ole' me trying to get shot of my hair.
hello?
I need to learn how to smile or something!
But I promise my hair looks so much better than this.
Maybe I should take new ones.

Pageant Fail.

Our fair pageant was on Sunday after church and it was crazzzy! There were 22 little beauties in Charli's age group. Yes, you read that right 22. What in the world. I never expected that many?!

Once they stuffed all of the Mothers and the little ones behind the stage, we then had to wait for about ten minutes because one little girl was late.

Kids were screaming, Momma's were huffing & rolling their eyes at other Mom's. My kid was being angel. ha!

Well Char did a fabulous job and had fun but she didn't get anything! She knows she gorgeous so who cares right?

& this is the way we feel about pageants!

It's all about us

& What we have been up to lately.

Last week we went to Barren River Lake to swim off Mark's dock and Miss Charli had a blast as always. She loves water, although she cannot stand to get her face wet she is really coming around. I get a bit worried whenever I see blogs with children even smaller than her putting their whole heads under, but I suppose the time will come for her.
I have fallen head.over.freaking.hills in love with the color of this house.
Yes, I am the crazy stalker girl that told Mark to pull into the drive so I could snap a picture. Good thing they were not home!

We played at Barren River park the next dayI should probably buy or find my little chick some sunglasses so she can open her eyes for the camera! ha.
By the way, Silly Bandz are the devil.

The 4th was spent with family at my Aunt Vicki's house.
Charli celebrated by playing duck duck goose, freeze tag, drawing with chalk and wearing everyone out!and while she was doing that I was doing nothing but getting my grub on =) Ohh yeaa
I found this video of Charli on my camera tonight while uploading pictures. She loves to steal my camera to take pictures of her toys and herself! I think it is so darn sweet how she was trying to do this! That little smile is so precious!

Pageant Days

Charli Beth has been doing here and there pageants since she was 6 weeks old. Mostly she will do the fair, or the little festival pageants that our city or the nearby counties have and she seems to always love it!

I have been one of those Mom's to freak out and worry about what C.B. will wear, if she will do good on stage or if she will act like a little hell cat.
Now, I have came to the decision in the last year to ask her if she wants to do them. She likes to show off but sometimes you never know if she just wants to stay home and play. I quit asking her for a little while and we skipped several pageants because she is in an older category now and the other little girls are double her size. But now I think it's time to just let Char be own little sassy self.

She absolutely loves strutting her stuff but I have no idea where she got it from. I can not say that I am shy but I would rather keep what my Momma gave me to myself rather than be all sassy walking on stage. This is one of the million things that I love about her.

Charli also loves the fact that she may (or may not) get a trophy or a crown. We have tried to teach her that sometimes she may get one and sometimes there is just not enough to go around. Her doing pageants to us is not because we need someone to tell us that she is pretty, or prettier than another little girl because every little girl is beautiful, but this is just something that we have always had fun doing!

If it ever gets to the day that she becomes a little "toddler & tiaras" misfit girl we will be d.o.n.e for now I will let my girl strut and blow kisses for our redneck town =)

Melt my heart why don't ya!

Last night while I was off work Charli Beth and I cuddled up in bed to watch "dog movies" and grub on popcorn. We watched Space Buddies and one of the all famous Beethoven movies. Charli is a sucker for dogs that talk, Beverly Hills Chihuahua is one of her favorites but we can rarely ever find it on TV.

Sleep over nights are the best. We love to snuggle, have popcorn {sometimes brownies} and be rebels will drinking Coke or Mt. Dew! ha.

While I was making up my bed for us to lay in (Yes, my bed stays a mess anymore!) Charli started asking me different questions about her friends Dad. Then the little sucker puts her hands on her hips and says "Well, I don't have a Dad!"

....you're kidding right? I had no idea little lady!

So I said "Yea, I know but if you think about it all of the cool little girls do not have their Daddy around right now"

pause.

"Well, I am pretty cool ya know"

ahh. I love her =)

Story of Mommy

My photo
I am a sinner saved by the grace of God. A wife to the 5oh, and Mother to Charli Beth and Bryar. This is my story of Motherhood, life experiences and sometimes even my overwhelming heart all typed out. I believe in second chances, yet the firm hand of parenting. That sweet tea is of the comfort food category. Chickens belong in every backyard. Children should each have a responsibility of their own while helping take care of duties in the home. Sports are a must for our family, and we spend many nights on courts or fields. We consistently feel new to each of the experiences that are brought into our lives. But we are always excited for the journey in which God has given us.
