Santa Photograph

It doesn't get much better than this folks...

Last Week Of The School Parties

Bryar was able to bring sweetie the puppy home again befor Christmas break. We honestly forgot to take a photo until last minute and Gunner was inside playing, so we took a quick photo in front of the tree.

Can you tell what he is looking at? Why yes, that is a tennis ball on top of my head. Ekk!

On Bryar's last day of school we enjoyed a polar express day. We wore our pjs, drank hot chocolate and watched the movie. At the end of the day we enjoyed a class party. Once again, Bryar's favorite part was the snack.

Charli was able to enjoy her last day of school with a party too. I'm so thankful to be able to enjoy her parties with her. It was ugly sweater and/or pj day. I decided to wear this Louisville sweater since my family bleeds blue for the Wildcats. I'm fairly certain no one got my joke, haha! :)

Now we're off to finish shopping and preparing for an amazing Christmas.

The Month Of a The Elf - Jingle

Here's to 2014 Christmas season spent with our little elf. He taught some lessons and gave some sweet laughs. But most of all he brought Jesus in with him and hopefully left some impressions.

The Christmas tree is still growing in a bowl of water.

Until next year....

Girl Scout Christmas Float 2014

At the beginning of December we hosted the local Girl Scout Christmas float that Charli Beth participates in. The theme of the parade was, "Songs of Christmas." So at first we were stumped.

Can we just play silent night, wrap the girls with lights and not let them talk?

Grand idea.

But then we were afraid someone may throw some charges on us. Ha!

Totally kidding...

Who doesn't love Whoville?

So we went with it.

The houses are made out of cardboard boxes from furniture that the school has ordered. How awesome did they turn out?

The Grinch is just absolutely fabulous and was the hit of the parade.
Don't mind my swollen face though. I had dental surgery two days before and I was in a fog. Thankfully I was able to crash and rest right afterwards.

And there's my little who-girl, Charli Beth. She was such a sport that day and had a blast.

We were completely sad that our float wasn't judged since we were told to park in the wrong spot. But we were pretty proud of our work and loved hearing the sweet comments.

Story of Mommy

My photo
I am a sinner saved by the grace of God. A wife to the 5oh, and Mother to Charli Beth and Bryar. This is my story of Motherhood, life experiences and sometimes even my overwhelming heart all typed out. I believe in second chances, yet the firm hand of parenting. That sweet tea is of the comfort food category. Chickens belong in every backyard. Children should each have a responsibility of their own while helping take care of duties in the home. Sports are a must for our family, and we spend many nights on courts or fields. We consistently feel new to each of the experiences that are brought into our lives. But we are always excited for the journey in which God has given us.
