Getting to know YOU!

1. Do you have a fetish?
Ha! ;o)
No seriously..... We now know that I have huge thing for Turquoise right now but my huge fetish is buying Charli Beth tons of clothes. This girl has way to darn much. Yard sale anyone?

2. Do you sing in the shower?
Only whenever Char is in there with me and yes, we do take showers together all the time since I am always running late for work. We jump, sing, dance..it's tons of fun ya'll!

3. Who was your first crush?
My first celebrity crush was no other than:

Zac Hanson!!

4. What do you think is the best manly trait a guy could have?
I'm not exactly sure if you would call this a "trait" or not, but loving my daughter. My heart has never been happier than now with someone that loves Charli Beth to pieces and helping her learn new things. Just like last night I was wore.plum.stickin'.out. so I crashed out for 30 minutes before work. Mark stayed at the house and got Char ready for bed. Seriously? Is this what it is like to not be a single Momma, if so I heart it oh so much =)

5. Do you sleep naked?
Why Lord naw! I still love with my parents people. That would be a sight.

6. What do you do when (you think) no one is looking?
Stare at them, not in a stalker-ish way. I have this horrible problem with checking people out. I'm not a "stylish" Momma, so I admit that I look at everyone to check out their styles and hairstyles.

7. What's the first thing you do when you go online?
Facebook! I promise, I am the nosiest person alive!

8. Summer is.....?
Fireflies, Bbqs, Bikinis, Tanning, Watermelon, Amish Produce, Road Trips, Fireworks, Orchards, Hot Days, Long Nights, Sun Dresses, Flip Flops, Farmer Tans.

{image stole from Facebook- sorry!}

See ya'll in a few days, we're off to the beach!

F21 & New hair!

We are heading to Florida Sunday night and I just realized that I had zero clothes to take with me although my oh.so.stylin' daughter has a closet full. So where is the cheapest place to find cute clothes?
We do have a Forever 21 at the mall in Bowling Green, although trying to fight through the mess of teenagers, clutter and no room for strollers I despise it with a passion. So since I love their clothes and not their mess, I decided that shopping online would for the best.

Here are my new goods:

$5.50
Oh yeah, one of the straps are broke off but it can be fixed.

I love this top and it was only $10.50!
I actually couldn't help but to wear it today!
Skank, I know..but it's seriously cute!

My new love for comfy leggings started with a pair like these, so I bought another!
$5.50
I also l.o.v.e this top! It's funky & cute!
$13.80

I got this top to go w/ the leggings for a casual look.
I'm not very "stylish" but I am trying!
$9.80Hello love!
I love gawdy jewelry
$4.80

I'm in a huge turquoise obsession right now!
I also got a pair in black too!
$2.80

This is full of pinks and cream colored beads!
I t-totally lust it too!
$7.80

There ya go peeps! =)

New hair:
Now my Dear child cannot whistle and yell "Hey girl with blond and black hair come here!"
haha
& I promise that I am a happy person I just feel like a tween taking a pic of myself!

5 on Friday

1. Take your pick...date night, girls night out, or night out alone?

I would most defiantly pick a date night. Mark and I have been together for a little over a year and I can probably count on one hand how many actual "dates" that we have been on. We have very conflicting schedules and whenever I am actually off at night I enjoy spending that time with Charli. I imagine that is something very hard for him to understand being that he has never dated a Mother. He handles it extremely well and hopefully soon we will find sometime for us too.

2. Can you touch your nose with your tongue?

Negative. Can you bite your ear? I didn't think so...

3. What is your favorite flower and why?

Calla Lily for sure. They are so simple and very beautiful. I want a fall wedding but I will be carrying some of these in a burnt orange color!

4. If you could go back in time, what advice would you give yourself?

Oh Lordy, this one could take several blogs to explain. Ha!
A huge one that I plan to teach Charli all about is how to not let someone mess with your heart so much. Whenever you get hurt once shame on them, the second or so forth it is all on you. You shouldn't let people drag you in the dirt for so long until it makes you cold hearted and scared.

The other would be to enjoy life will you are young. If I could go back to the days where I had friends and was able to actually go out and have fun, I would not pass that opportunity up because of some worthless guy.

5. If you won the lottery, what is the very first thing you would do?

Hide.
No joke. I would secretly drive to Louisville (which is where I think that you have to go in Kentucky) get my moo-la and a motel, then hide for days. After all of the hiding out I would pay off mine and my families bills then start looking for property to buy, like that beach house that I posted about. Oh and I would most defiantly go crazyyyy on Matilda Jane clothing for Charli and whatever else for myself =) Ahh, I love to dream!

Wordless Wednesday

Wishful Wednesday

"I wish" ... I hadn't thrown away...

scratch that
I wish my BOYFRIEND wouldn't have thrown away...

my food!

I took my daughter to the potty at the restaurant last night and whenever we returned to the table my entire plate was g.o.n.e

He told the waiter that I was finished, even though there was more than half left.
Thanks babe.

Payback sucks. ;o)

Soccer Saturdays

MEAN GREEN!

The little runt is #18

Trying to get a picture during break time, but the boy ruined it with the bunny ears.
Boo.

She really does run after the ball!
Yay! I have proof now!
She did actually get a few kicks in and got knocked down by a certain boy quite a few times.
I'm sure she'll grow up and break his heart one day ;o) bahaha. just kidding!
Anyways, progress counts and she did fantastic this week!

Good game!
She was taught all about sportsmanship this weekend and had a lot of questions about why they have to say "good game" to the other kids!
I personally think that it's a wonderful lesson to learn!

Top 2 Tuesday - Dream Homes

Top 2 Dream Houses

...a girl has to dream every now & then.

1.) A traditional Southern Home; (a.k.a. the house from The Notebook)

2.) A beautiful Log home will do me just fine ;o)

I know it is only a top two, but what the heck, I'm dreaming anyways!

3.) A big ole' beach house that is very fancy for vacations. This house takes my breath away. I'm so ready for a vacation! (The Countdown is on: 11 days)

Things that I would like to have in my huge house:
  • Lots of bedrooms (For future babies of course)
  • A HUGE bath tub
  • Hard wood floors throughout
  • At least 2 1/2 baths
  • Walk in Closet
  • Vanity (I hate standing up to get ready)
  • Crazy paint colors; no tan or beige, I love bright colors
  • A huge Antique room
  • A wrap around porch to hang ferns all over during the Summer
  • Large kitchen
  • Dinning room
  • Crown molding throughout

The new ride

I've heard that it is bad luck to take pictures of your vehicles and I really did not believe that old wives tale until my avenger was hit not once, but three times. Not to mention the third time was the charmer of them all and totaled it out, even though it didn't look "that bad." So I decided to post a picture from the net and then ya'll could just deal with it ;o)

We I had such a horrible time picking out a new vehicle that fit into my budget or had everything that I wanted. Call me picky or high maintenance but I will have to beg to differ, I am just a girl that knows what I want! Can I get an amen?

There it is though, a 2009 Saturn Vue. It has heated leather seats, which btw leather seats are the "thing" to have if you have a toddler. Spilling juices or snacks on cloth is so much harder to clean up, trust me I've had cloth and leather since Charli girl was born. Char is pretty excited is about the new ride and is very ready to take the Jeep Liberty back and I have to admit so am I =) up to 31 mpg, you cannot beat that in a small suv!

Yay Charli B!

She did this all by herself!!!
Yay =)
I'm pretty proud for the fact that I haven't worked with her like I probably should.

Sorry these are so dark, they were taken w/ Mom's phone because we were to excited to grab my camera!

Flood 2010

I have to admit that our county looks better than anything on the news that I have seen. Although, this is such a tragic and hectic time for us I am simply just overwhelmed with concern for the families in Nashville and the surrounding areas. We are less than 60 miles from Nashville but the rain difference is huge. I cannot believe the scenes that I have seen on the news and all that we have even had to face in our county alone.

I came in to work Saturday night at 10 pm and we had such a quiet night, I was planning to leave at 6 am as usual. Then we started having storms head our way from Nashville that had roatation along with them. So I thought that I would be the sweetest person in the world (just kidding) and stay to help out since we only have one dispatcher here on Sundays until noon. The storms went through without a problem although after wards the 911 and phone lines went crazzzzy. I stayed at work until around 1 this afternoon then went home to bed until work called and woke me up at 4. I am now here for another all night-er!

We have made several home evacuations due to the rising waters in residences. One man was also rescued from a creek that is between our county and Simpson County, KY. Thankfully, a lady seen his vehicle in the creek close to a bridge with the windshield wipers on. Sadly, we have had one fatality in our county due to the flooding waters. There are several roads that are still impassable in our county and several bridges that completely gone. At this time the deputies are out checking roadways so that I can make a list for the road departments to start on first thing in the morning.

This farm is with a house that I tried calling to get them to evacuate due to the rising waters.

Remember the pictures that Charli and I had done in the fall w/ our blood hound?
This is the church where they were taken.

S.A. Fire Station #2
completely flooded
Most of our evacuation did come from this highway that leads into TN.

This is also from the church that I spoke about ^^
It is the picnic shelter

I am pretty sure that this is the bridge where the vehicle rescue came from. I'm not exactly sure since I have "borrowed" these pictures from friends on Facebook!

Please say an extra few prayers for the TN families that are effected by this flood. I have some sweet blogger friends that live in that are also and it just makes my heart so heavy to see what they are dealing with there.

If I have left you and your family out I am so sorry and will update another list later on!

Story of Mommy

My photo
I am a sinner saved by the grace of God. A wife to the 5oh, and Mother to Charli Beth and Bryar. This is my story of Motherhood, life experiences and sometimes even my overwhelming heart all typed out. I believe in second chances, yet the firm hand of parenting. That sweet tea is of the comfort food category. Chickens belong in every backyard. Children should each have a responsibility of their own while helping take care of duties in the home. Sports are a must for our family, and we spend many nights on courts or fields. We consistently feel new to each of the experiences that are brought into our lives. But we are always excited for the journey in which God has given us.
