Bridesmaids & Flower girl

We purchased the bridesmaid dresses and Charli's flower girl dress from David's Bridal being that they are the most reasonably priced place in this area. I had been once before to look at dresses with my MOH (my sister Ashley) but this day we had to order and I knew what I wanted. Which was a shorter dress to go with cowgirl boots, with pockets (because that is always handy!) and navy blue!

I honestly had no idea what Charli girl should wear except it needed to be a white/ivory instead of your typical white dress. But after she tried this dress on we knew it was the one for her. It was simple, sassy and perfect for her - but if I must say so myself, this girl makes everything look cute!
I can only imagine holding these pictures up to her own bridal photos one day! Tear*
She absolutely loved trying on dresses and yes Miss Priss does have on black converses in this photo but no she did not wear them to the ceremony! ha. But we are some converse lovers!

After calling all of the bridesmaids the decision was made and we had our dresses on the way!
If you cannot tell morning sickness had hit me hard that morning, not to mention I told everyone to be at the shop an hour before they even opened - pregnancy/bridal brain. I was a complete mess that day I suppose. This is only half of my bridal party but they are all such sweet girls and were so much help in making the final decision in which style of dress to pick.

This is the style that we went with:

Also will you ladies please go "like" A & B Designs on Facebook and like my photo that I added to their contest from Clearwater, FL? My Mom also added a picture of Charli Beth as a baby in buttercups, so you can like it over mine ;) haha!

Our 1st Wedding Shower - May 22

Our first wedding shower was held on May 22 and hosted by my family and church friends at a local community building in the town that I live in. The only request that I gave them was for it to go along with the type of wedding ceremony that we were wanting and for us to have good food to snack on! ha. Can you tell that I am pregnant and from the south?

These are only a few of the photos that I have had to steal from friends on Facebook. During the moving process, I have lost my usb cord in my mess of room at my parents - I have a pretty good idea where it is vera bradley purse but I really miss blogging on a regular basis so I thought I could add these for now!

The centerpieces that Shannon made for the shower where the cutest things, ever. She used Jones Soda bottles and made these adorable sticker labels for them. She also printed off extra for me to use later on! Crafty lady that Mrs. Shannon is =) Gotta love her!
We honestly couldn't have been more blessed with such amazing people that helped us celebrate our special day! I cannot wait to share more pictures from all of our showers and the ceremony (which was ahhh-mazing!)

Names are still out of the question but maybe I can talk him into one on the honeymoon ;) ha!

I have asked on twitter before if any other Mommy's had dealt with irregular heartbeats while pregnant. I know from what people say and books, that it is common but should be gone by the end of the first trimester. But after thinking for a while and about the irregularities that I expereinced in high school (having to wear two different heart monitors) I decided to just call and ask my nurses opinion. Well, I got more than I bargained for I guess. They never called me back, and I actually forgot until that afternoon and experienced it once again. I did not want to bug anyone because I honestly do not think this is a serious matter at all but they called around one o'clock on Wednesday and said that I have a echo appointment set up with a cardiologist on Thursday morning at 8:30 then will have lab work following that, I will then meet with my Dr on Friday. I told the nurse that I was only calling for advice and that I was really confused since I had not heard from them but she just simply told me that this is what I need to do. Goodness! Seriously? I have wedding stuff to get done and really I still want to reschedule but Curtis asked that I just get it checked out so we he will know for sure. So it looks like I will be even more busy that I had thought! Not to mention, I will be going to my OB tomorrow to see my precious nephew again at my sisters ultrasound! They are going to end up hating me by the end of this pregnancy.

YMCA Day Camp

Charli Beth, Hayden and Jaycee

For the next few weeks Charli Beth is attending a day camp at the local YMCA! This is a photo that one of the Mom's sent me after I left to let me know that she was adjusting well! She seems to really enjoy it, since she is completely worn out by the time that she gets home. They do crafts, play outside, songs, play in the pools, and on Wednesday they take field trips to Camp Cedar. Hopefully she will enjoy her time there and then at the end of the Summer her and I can have some time together before she starts Kindergarten!

Somethings you can NEVER say enough.

While this chapter of my life is coming to an end, I cannot help but to be emotional at the fact that not only is everything falling in place, but the things that I will miss as well. We each go through these emotions, in every step of our lives.

There are somethings in life that you can say enough, and some people in our lives that we can never explain just how grateful for them that we are. During the chapter of Single Mommy-hood, my Mother has been my back bone, my support system, my best friend. All of these she will still be, but I cannot help but to sit and cry at all that will be changing. Even though, I truly know that this is a good change. A change that we have all prayed for, for so very long. I deserve this family and most of all Charli Beth deserves this family and this wonderful Father that she is fixing to receive. I have prayed for this bittersweet change to be easy for Charli but I know some days are honestly going to be hard because so much is changing so quickly. I know that my Mother has prayed for me, and I pray for her as well. My heart is scared to leave her yet excited to be blessed with this new chapter of my life.

A lot of people do not understand the relationship that I have with my family. For one because they are not us and do not live our lives. But I could have never survived being the Mom of Charli alone with out the gracious help from my parents. I would be lying if I didn't say that I am not the least bit scared of leaving my parents; to be honest I am sobbing while I type this because I know that I will miss them as well as Charli will too. To be honest, it is just a bittersweet time for us all, in a good way I must add. As I continue to ask for prayers for our family, I do ask your to remember us once again, and to especially remember CB as she goes through these big changes this year. Thank you.

Mom, I wish that I could repay for all of the things that you have done for me. I wish I could show the world the strength, determination, and love that you have given me daily. The love that you have for Charli Beth, Ashley and I is something that I pray to give to my children daily. You have molded me into the woman and Mother that I am today. I can only give thanks to you and the Lord for this. I wish that I could tell you every emotion that I am feeling right now but to be honest I am huge sappy mess and will never be able to tell you how grateful I am for the woman that you are. There just are not words to do so. I love you so very much and thank you for being my best friend through out these years and the next million years to come.

Charli B's New Bedroom

This is the bedding set that was purchased for Charli Beth's new bedroom. She has tossed up the ideas of princess room but mostly has talked about a "cowgirl" room. Her room in the new house is white and we are wanting to keep it that way because she is 5 and of course she is going to change her mind a million times. I plan to get a wall sticker to help decorate her room up since they are so easy to put up and take down! What colors should I accent with? Pink? Or just keep white and green?

Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday to my Hubby to be!

Curtis, I hope that this year is the most amazing year ever for you and our family. There is nothing more in this life that I want then just to be able to experience our life together. I have prayed for a man like you since I was little girl, and the Lord has blessed me more than I could have ever imagined. I love you so very much and in 10 days (yes, only 10) we will start just yet another wonderful journey of our lives together. Never forget how thankful I am for you and just how amazing that you are. I love you.

p.s.
Jelly Bean said to agree with his Momma on a name, already! ;)
Charli Beth says Happy Birthday to her Big Man! haha

Gender Reveal!

Friday morning Curtis, Charli Beth, my sister Ashley, Curtis Mom, and my Mom went to Precious Views in Bowling Green to see what little Miss or Mr Jelly Bean looked like and have a little gender reveal too!

Curtis was over the top anxious and for once I was just as relaxed as could be. I absolutely loved seeing the baby on the screen and watching them wave, smile, suck their thumb and give us the loser sign. It was the sweetest thing!

Whenever I went into the studio, I gave the lady a card with a blue and pink crayon. I asked her to write the gender down in which ever color and then keep both crayons! She seemed to love the idea and did so wonderful with not "revealing" our little secret. The anticipation did almost kill us all though out the day especially since I had the sealed envelope! Whenever we left we all took turns guessing the gender and telling why we thought it. I honestly still had no clue. This baby acted a lot like Charli's goofy personality and slept with their arms behind their head spread eagle like she does too. It was so funny and adorable to see the similarities already.

That afternoon we all met at a local resturaunt called Rafferty's and decorated the table with a pink and blue balloon and "It's a girl" "It's a boy" banners. It was so nice to have all of our family with us including the grandpas of Jelly Bean! We ordered our food and then finally we let Charli Beth open the card to see..........................
Snails & Puppy dog Tails

Baby H is a
BOY!!!!!Curtis' face was priceless. haha, I love it!
Curtis and his DadMy first diaper bag for baby H =)

We do not have any names...............that is another story though ;) haha! Although once there is one finalized it will be posted!

We are extremely excited and absolutely blessed to be given the opportunity to raise baby H!

Story of Mommy

My photo
I am a sinner saved by the grace of God. A wife to the 5oh, and Mother to Charli Beth and Bryar. This is my story of Motherhood, life experiences and sometimes even my overwhelming heart all typed out. I believe in second chances, yet the firm hand of parenting. That sweet tea is of the comfort food category. Chickens belong in every backyard. Children should each have a responsibility of their own while helping take care of duties in the home. Sports are a must for our family, and we spend many nights on courts or fields. We consistently feel new to each of the experiences that are brought into our lives. But we are always excited for the journey in which God has given us.
