God Gave Me You

At the very last minute of our wedding, I decided to change all of our songs because we felt that the first picks were not "us." Since the wedding has taken place, I could not be happier with the decisions that I made. My heart melts and I get tears in my eyes every single time that I hear the song that I walked down the aisle too.

God gave me you for the ups and downs
God gave me you for the days of doubt
For when I think I’ve lost my way
There are no words here left to say, it’s true
God gave me you
-Dave Barnes version

This song takes me back to the very moment, where I stood holding on to my Dad, my heart pounding out of my chest and tears feeling my eyes looking at Curtis smile at me with the biggest grin I have ever seen. I can honestly say that I felt more proud and amazed of the blessings that I have received from the Lord during that very moment. My life is exactly where it needs to be, and my heart is full of unconditional love for the man of my dreams.

What a great song!! I am so happy for you and your new little family! I wish you all the happiness in the world!! I have always believed in the saying, "the best comes to those who wait". I believe this is the case with you and Curtis!!

Story of Mommy

My photo
I am a sinner saved by the grace of God. A wife to the 5oh, and Mother to Charli Beth and Bryar. This is my story of Motherhood, life experiences and sometimes even my overwhelming heart all typed out. I believe in second chances, yet the firm hand of parenting. That sweet tea is of the comfort food category. Chickens belong in every backyard. Children should each have a responsibility of their own while helping take care of duties in the home. Sports are a must for our family, and we spend many nights on courts or fields. We consistently feel new to each of the experiences that are brought into our lives. But we are always excited for the journey in which God has given us.
