Halloween Mantel

I typically only decorate for Halloween and Christmas. Not because I do not want to but because I do not have all of the extra decorations. But I am going to make a stand and start decorating more. The kids really enjoy it and to me it just makes a house, more of a home.

Honestly some of these items are things that my Mother passed on to me. The corn in the apothecary jars, I actually bought to use for Bryar's birthday party. The sticks I spray painted black. The webs and spiders were $1 each at Dollar General.

I am not the crafty lady that I wish to be. Nor can I decorate. But honestly it takes just a second and a little time to throw a few decorations up, just to get a smile from your kiddos or maybe even a second look from your Husband!

Do you decorate for every holiday?

Story of Mommy

My photo
I am a sinner saved by the grace of God. A wife to the 5oh, and Mother to Charli Beth and Bryar. This is my story of Motherhood, life experiences and sometimes even my overwhelming heart all typed out. I believe in second chances, yet the firm hand of parenting. That sweet tea is of the comfort food category. Chickens belong in every backyard. Children should each have a responsibility of their own while helping take care of duties in the home. Sports are a must for our family, and we spend many nights on courts or fields. We consistently feel new to each of the experiences that are brought into our lives. But we are always excited for the journey in which God has given us.
