Which bridges to cross & which to burn

The doors we open and close each day decide the lives in which we live

This is going to be ranting post but I truly think it is something that I need to get out of my system. Some of you that know me in real life, know exactly where I am coming from and maybe even if you do not know me in real life, you will know these types of people, or maybe you are even this type of person. But I am just sick of these people...

We all get to make choices, every single day. We each decide which paths in life that we want to take. The typical person usually makes wrong decisions whenever they are teenagers or whenever you are young adults. But it's not something that we need to make a habit. Most importantly, if you have made one wrong decision, it does not place you into a certain category that makes you a "loser" and that you can never get out of your slump.

In my line of work I see all sorts of people that I use to know (I say "use to" very firmly only because I knew who they once were and not who they have become now) that act completely stupid because they think that this is life, and they are what you want to call cool.

Do they not understand that people do NOT think they are cool? People talk. No matter what. People are always going to say, look what he or she used to be, and look where they are now. What a shame.

It is a Shame. I am disgusted by these people. A little judgmental? Maybe. But I feel that I must be because for some reason these people have lost themselves and forgotten completely who they are. (& maybe someone should of kicked em' in the rump a heck of a long time ago before it got this far)

You want something out life. You MUST work for it. You must do good, to get good.

I choose to get out my situation, my mistakes, my bad habits and so can YOU.

You are so much more than you make yourself out to be. Your days may be a little more boring but your life will be so much brighter.

I stand here as a person looking in, completely begging you to take a look at your life and realize that you are in taking ten steps backwards rather then two steps forward. Life is only as complicated and messy as we make it out to be. If you are not careful life will end up a lot more complicated than you can ever imagine.

I will leave you with this quote.....

"The hardest thing in life, is to know which bridges to cross and which bridges to burn."

I completely agree, dear... It is unfortunate that people think that they can live their lives based on what they used to be. For example, the popular kids in high school who still think they should have everything handed to them because they were a football player or cheerleader. Whatever, that's not how life works...

Anyway, I know lots of people in my hometown like that.

On another note, thank you for your sweet comment on my blog today. I really appreciate it. I'm pretty sure that pregnancy is the hardest thing I have ever been through in my whole life and I don't just mean physically. The physical stuff is easy compared to the crazy emotions that it puts us through.

Also, BB&T is my bank... I'm not at ESB but I definitely think we need to get together soon!

cheers to that, so completely true. I think of this all the time, I don't want people to look at me and think, wow she's doing nothing with her life. I want to be a success and make people proud.

AMEN! I couldn't have said it better myself.
My oldest sister is this person. It's so sad. She is 33 and still making poor decisions and asking my parents for help & gets mad at me for how "lucky" I am. I am a true believer that you make your own future and life. I've made aweful mistakes and gotten in big trouble, but I've grown and learned. It is Not who I am anymore! It's so sad some people can't learn....

I totally agree as well! You so described someone I know & it drives me crazy that people act like they don't know that people see everything they do. Especially when you put it all on FB! THAT really drives me crazy!

I comp agree but some people love to be the talk of the town even if that means making mistake after mistake. Some people love the attention even if it is negative. I will never get that!

You truly must do good to get good :)

Story of Mommy

My photo
I am a sinner saved by the grace of God. A wife to the 5oh, and Mother to Charli Beth and Bryar. This is my story of Motherhood, life experiences and sometimes even my overwhelming heart all typed out. I believe in second chances, yet the firm hand of parenting. That sweet tea is of the comfort food category. Chickens belong in every backyard. Children should each have a responsibility of their own while helping take care of duties in the home. Sports are a must for our family, and we spend many nights on courts or fields. We consistently feel new to each of the experiences that are brought into our lives. But we are always excited for the journey in which God has given us.
