Fishing & Friends

My best friend Taylor and I took Charli Beth fishing this Saturday at a farm near his house. She actually did a lot better than I really thought that she would. CB is the type of girl that will try to throw up at the sight of a bug of jump on top of the couch whenever she thinks that she sees one. But fish may be something totally different with her. She caught about 6-7 catfish and bass, but it probably helped since we took her to a fully loaded pond! She did catch quite a few more than Tay did!

Each bite that she would reel in, she would go "oh oh oh oh oh" the entire time that it was coming up! It was hilarious. She did pretty well casting her line out, although I did have to jump behind her several times so that she did not hook me in the face! This was such a fun trip, hopefully we can do it again soon!

My thumb looks deformed, and I almost killed that poor bass because it flopped right out of my hand! Yikes!

Story of Mommy

My photo
I am a sinner saved by the grace of God. A wife to the 5oh, and Mother to Charli Beth and Bryar. This is my story of Motherhood, life experiences and sometimes even my overwhelming heart all typed out. I believe in second chances, yet the firm hand of parenting. That sweet tea is of the comfort food category. Chickens belong in every backyard. Children should each have a responsibility of their own while helping take care of duties in the home. Sports are a must for our family, and we spend many nights on courts or fields. We consistently feel new to each of the experiences that are brought into our lives. But we are always excited for the journey in which God has given us.
