She watched cartoons for a little bit, while I got everything together and halfway prepared myself as decent as I could. Whenever it was time to get ready, Charli was way hyper and it made me even more nervous that this going to be a crazzzy morning. But thankfully, after everyone was ready she calmed down a lot!
Charli's mimi and papaw live across the yard from us so she came over to take her own photographs of Charli before her first day, which was also wonderful so we could do some family photos as well!
Some of you that may know Charli in real life, knows that she loves to "model" and make crazy "fashion" faces so that will explain the next several photos. She eventually got really tired and very annoyed of us taking her picture but I still feel as if I do not have enough photos.
We snapped probably 10 photos in front of this board, and we actually have 0 of her looking at the camera.
Practically begging us to "leave and to quit taking pictures of her already"- we are such the embarrassing parents ;)
Curtis picked Charli B up from school today since I work second shift in a different county now, and whenever they called she seemed just as excited and hyper then she did first thing this morning. I have a feeling though, that if she was to sit still for a few minutes then she would fall right to sleep! She said that she made three friends today but cannot remember their names, they played outside for recess and also learned a song that was like the hokey pokey but they changed it to be about school. Sadly, by the time that I get home tonight she will already be in bed, although I cannot wait to hear all about her day in person as we get ready for school again!
In other news, this Momma did not cry a single tear today! I know, I should get Mommy of the year award for this strength that I had going on today...negative. I actually feel terrible that I was so okay with her heading off to Kindergarten. I may cry at the fact that I didn't cry today?! (hormonal much? ha.) She was just so excited though, so how could I be sad? I did miss her terribly though as soon as I got back home, and was bored all day, so my day consisted of picking on Curtis until he left to train Gunner, hot bath, very long nap, lunch, hot shower, then to work. But I promise that will not be happening to much longer since we must get things prepared for baby Bryar Wayne to arrive.
Lets just pray that day #2 goes just as wonderful as day #1. Thank you to everyone for you good thoughts and prayers that you sent our way today.
