Kels tagged me for a cute prom pic idea and I finally have time to play along!

Here are the rules:
1. Upload your prom pictures. If you don't have one, email your Mom and ask her to send it to you.

2. Don't forget to include the year it was taken. Again, don't be shy. The older the better!

3. Grab the "Prom Queen" button and attach.

4. Copy & Paste the rules into your post.

5. Tag 5 others!
I believe we may be the only county in the country to do this anymore, because well... its pretty old fashioned. But, before prom we have a "class night" ceremony. We all walk out as couples, they state out names, our parents, and our plans for the future. It was hot and miserable in there, and that is why I look so darn un-happy! After its was all done and over with, I really appreciate this idea and the memories that came along with it.

taken by my parents in my front yard. [05'] I actually don't have a picture on the computer of any actual prom photos. I didn't have an actually date to prom, I went w/ tons of friends, guys and girls included.

Our county has a program called "up all night" after prom to keep teens from heading out to parties and then drinking and driving. Although, I honestly think they have moved this to graduation night instead of prom night in the past year or so. We had a great time playing games and hanging out with people in our class. It was an awesome feeling to know that we were all there together safe and sound. Oh and a plus was we won MONEY all night long, and also got I believe $200 just for coming!

These are my people =)
I could tell you every single one of their first and last names [maiden or married]

Now I'll tag my fab FIVE!
1.] Lea Liz
2.] Kim
3.] Nichele Lynn
4.] Two Little Lambs
5.] Paige

So, update on my week of no working and all being mommy =) [what fun!] Charli and I went to the state park that is nearby with my frieeennndd on Monday, and I accidentally kinda made us walk the entire trail (or maybe I was just sneaking in more time?!?! hmm..). Charli had a BLAST playing and riding in her stroller on our, very very long walk. Tuesday night I had EMT class, and thank God we practiced practicals. I was so scared of doing combitubes until then. Then headed to Steak and Shake w/ my regular eating buddies and then to walmart. Wednesday, I stayed home all day and night except to get some Mexico food and ice cream. We watched American idol, and was VERY happy to see Adam in the bottom 3. Even though I secretly know it was a set up, it made me smile. Matt broke my heart as he was leaving, not that he was my favorite but he seems to be genuine unlike so many other artist. I'm still routing on my man Danny. Thursday was another class night, and I did horrible on a test that I know I should of aced. I will get this though. I'm a highly frustrated at my test taking skills and I know within the next month that they HAVE to improve. Today, I actually took some selfish "me" time and napped for a bit before heading out to have dinner at Shogun w/ Charli Beth and Zach ( a friend that lives in Hazard, KY that was in my docjt class.) He also has a little boy Jayden that is one, and is soo adorable. I hope one day we are able to get Charli and him together for a play date! Maybe Char and I will take a trip to Eastern, KY...the fact of getting lost in the mountains kinda scares me though?? haha. This is such a busy month, with Mom's birthday (they're going out of town for a weekend together), practicals, and getting ready to take the national registry! I'm so ready to get all of this done. I just pray that the Lord gives me the patience so I do not rush and get my mind off track.

Story of Mommy

My photo
I am a sinner saved by the grace of God. A wife to the 5oh, and Mother to Charli Beth and Bryar. This is my story of Motherhood, life experiences and sometimes even my overwhelming heart all typed out. I believe in second chances, yet the firm hand of parenting. That sweet tea is of the comfort food category. Chickens belong in every backyard. Children should each have a responsibility of their own while helping take care of duties in the home. Sports are a must for our family, and we spend many nights on courts or fields. We consistently feel new to each of the experiences that are brought into our lives. But we are always excited for the journey in which God has given us.
