Catch up!

I cannot believe that it has actually taken me this long to blog about our Thanksgiving & past few weeks. It seems that life suddenly got boring besides having a hilarious three year old running around the house. I assume that I could make this blog full of silly quotes by Charli. There would always be laughter filling me blog then!
A couple of weekends ago, Charli Beth entered the Christmas Pageant here in town. We went to church before and then I headed to work. Thankfully, as always my dear Mama was took her, got her all ready and set there with her until I was able to leave work. I'm not sure where I would be without that sweet woman. Lets just say that pageant didn't go so swell. She told me that she was going to go up there all by herself because she is a "big girl and doesn't need Mama with her." Nice?! Negative. We get up there and she sticks out her tongue and puts her fingers in her mouth, yep...just like a baby. It was simply hilarious. No, we are not your crazy pageant Mama's or anything close to that reality show that comes on TV. I've seen some Mama's get extremely worked up and mad, but that just isn't us. We had so much fun laughing at how she acted for the rest of the day.

I was trying to convince her that she is 3 years & not 3 months here.
Lol, as you can tell I am laughing.
Not to mention, I am pretty sure you could see my rear end in this picture.
Thanks Mom for informing me

We also attended my sister Jacqui's baby shower where I was able to give her those adorable blocks that I showed a few post back. She loved them and I was so scared that they would not match the room (I'm a color freak.) But they match & everything went great. Since the shower, Charli Beth has became obsessed with having a brother & sister...yes she means twins. Goodness, love her little heart, she has no idea what she is asking for.

We also had a wonderful Thanksgiving spent with family and Mark's family also. Charli Beth & I made Red Velvet Cake Balls, Pumpkin Bread, Banana Nut Muffins, & cookies. We then added each of these into "Thanksgiving Day Bags" and took them around to our elder neighbors. My Mom done this my sister & I whenever I was a child and it was one of the priceless moments through out my childhood that I will never forget. I hope that we are able to continue to do this throughout the years and it will be a memory that she will hang on to also.

I ended up working Thanksgiving afternoon and everyone was so sweet for bringing my co-worker and I supper and deserts. I wish we could eat like that at work everyday! After work my friend Krystina, Sister, Mom and I headed to Lebanon, TN to shop at an outlet mall throughout the night since they opened at Midnight. We went there last year and it was the perfect place to be, hardly any lines and everyone was calm, cool & collective. Not this year! It was crazzzzy. We ended up with only a few things from the Gap and heading back to KY where people are a little less crazzy (no offense TN ladies) and tax rates are 4% lower! Woohoo! We got to Walmart and got some killer deals. Thankfully, Charli Beth's Christmas is about done, with only one or two more things to go, which makes me soo very excited. If only the entire list was d-o-n-e, I would be a very happy girl!

Story of Mommy

My photo
I am a sinner saved by the grace of God. A wife to the 5oh, and Mother to Charli Beth and Bryar. This is my story of Motherhood, life experiences and sometimes even my overwhelming heart all typed out. I believe in second chances, yet the firm hand of parenting. That sweet tea is of the comfort food category. Chickens belong in every backyard. Children should each have a responsibility of their own while helping take care of duties in the home. Sports are a must for our family, and we spend many nights on courts or fields. We consistently feel new to each of the experiences that are brought into our lives. But we are always excited for the journey in which God has given us.
