This post is very very long overdue, and I may just be a horrible Mother for not posting it any sooner, rather than later.
At Charli's preschool (which is at the Elementary school in our county) they have special awards that they do for the children that behave well in class. Star Student, Dream Dollars, Treasure Box, and helpers. Charli has so far been able to participate in all of these awards.
Although, she was the very first one to earn Star Student, which made me one very proud Mommy! I believe I cried and called everyone that we talk with to let them know what she had accomplished!
I know that you're probably thinking "What's the big deal?" Charli has never been in daycare, so I was very concerned with how she would act once in came to a strict school like, preschool. Not that she would actually act bad, but that she would want to play and talk way to much! But her teacher Ms. Lesley brags on her every day. I am so very thankful for this.
Although, don't get me wrong...Charli B informed me one day last week while picking her up that she did get in trouble and had to put her head down on the desk. {It wasn't bad though} Her friend Emily had missed school for a few days, and whenever they were on the carpet a little boy was trying to rip her name tag/picture off, so Charli and another child put their hands over it and {I assume} told him to stop. I actually think it's kinda sweet that she was taking up for her friend?! ha.
She is now on Fall Break and we will be heading to the mountains next Thursday to enjoy some family time! I cannot wait to get my hands on some antiques and whatever else they may have to offer! I cross my fingers that the rest of the school year continues to be as great as this "semester" has!
