What we've been up to this week

This week has been pretty busy with work and now activities for Charli Beth. Thursday was Charli's first ballet class, although I wasn't able to take and photos because the studio didn't have her Leotard, shoes and tights in. Although, as soon as she started her class the lady brought her shoes and leotard over to me, which wasn't the greatest timing since I couldn't dress her. She did very good for her first class and since she had never been around dancers before. Her class is 3-4 year olds and called "Just movin' " and she is the youngest in the class. I also noticed that a lot of the other girls have sisters that they have watched grow up in ballet classes. She did really good, but being the youngest and not having the best attention span in the world, she got a little shy a couple of times. Yes, I seen her face turn red and she frowned so big at me a couple of times. My heart just melted for her, and I could fell tears coming on, but I knew it was best for her to just conitnue on with the instructors help. I promise to take pictures before we head to class this week! I just now after she warms up to everyone there, she is going to love it! She's already asked me a couple of times when we are going back.

Thursday afternoon, my friend Wendy and her husband Randy brough baby Andrew Preston by to meet our family for the first time. Wendy was a very close friend to my sister and I growing up, until I moved to the next town over. Her husband is fixing to deploy to Iraq again for the second time at the end of September or October, so she is moving back home. I plan to help spoil Andrew to pieces along with his grandparents and hopefully be able to become great friends w/ Wendy again. They are such sweet people and I'm so excited for them to move back!

I've never noticed how shy Charli Beth can get until this past week. Watching her around Andrew was the sweetest and most adorable thing ever. Her cheeks would turn red again and she would just smile non-stop, I think you can see in the last picture how pink her cheeks are! She loves babies, and after they left every baby she played with or seen had to be a boy like Andrew.

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Foley Photography

We received our prints in the mail today from Lesley Foley Photography and they are all beautiful! There are several that I have that are favorites, like in most pictures but there are also some (like the above picture) that I think I can redo my entire room and start over with a beach theme just so I can purchase the largest size available of them. I'm still really thinking of boxing up my primitives and doing this since I have the new bed, I need a new bed set too! hmm...My birthday is coming up ;o) Just kidding, gotta pay bills with that stuff. There are so many that I wanted to share, but I figured I would keep it to a minimum, but you can try to add me to your Myspace if you would like to see the others too! The quailty of these pictures is outstanding, I can't believe we got all that we did for what we paid!!! I suppose it's time to start looking for new comforters!

Things to do before I kick the bucket!

How very ironic that today is the anniversary of the day my life quickly flashed before my eyes and today I decided to do a blog that I seen over on Kelsey's page.

This is the list (and we all know that I have become a huge lover of making lists on this blog) of all of the things that I plan to do before I croak. I have so many dreams, and sometimes they are a little far fetched for my life, but I can dream my dreams and wish on stars right?
  • I want a fall wedding, somewhere in the country (peace & quiet) with beautiful colors and fall flowers. It already makes me excited to think about that day, and only the Lord knows when it'll be!
  • I have always dreamed of a big family, but I will take whatever God is willing to bless me and the future Mr. with. But I am crossing my fingers for at least two more; and why yes I already have names picked out!
  • Travel; to Montana.

  • Print off my blog for Charli
  • Buy my dream home. I have always wanted my first house to be an older white farm home in the middle of no where.
  • Save a life (or a million would be nice)
  • Plant and have a successful garden
  • Own a horse farm, or at least a couple of horses
  • Put Charli (& the rest of the future kiddos) in as many sports and activities as they want to participate in
  • Go on a Cruise
  • Learn to cook
  • Fall in love with the man of my dreams.
  • Graduate College
  • Loose 15 pounds
  • Ride a train
  • Kill a buck -- November of 2010
  • Visit Savannah, GA and eat at Lady & Sons
  • Become a member of the mini van mafia
  • Teach my daughter to be confident, strong, and to always remember that no matter what comes at her in life she can overcome it. She is and will always be my world.
  • Most importantly; Just be as happy as I can be!!

Big Brother

[bored at work]

Does anyone else watch Big Brother? This is my first season [maybe my last too] but I'm obsessed with it to say the least! haha. I just love these people, well minus a few. I've been watching the show for the last hour here at work between calls and then got bored with it, since I knew who Jeff was going to put up for nomination and made this...
So first off lets go in order just in case for some crazy reason you don't watch this show and aren't up to date with their drama. (Top to bottom, left to right) Braden, Casey, Chima, Jeff and Jordan, Kevin, Laura, Lydia (aka lydiot), Michelle, Natalie, Ronnie, Russel, (and Jessie picture is missing, but thats okay! I'm sure he is missing a couple of things himself)
MY FAVS:
So poor Braden, never recieved the chance to stay and make his name in the Big Brother house, I think he would of made a great alliance for Jordan and Jeff. Now Casey on the other hand was one of my favorites and was done so very dirty, I truly miss seeing him in the game. Chima being expelled was very long over due, and I'm so glad to not see those rude lips on the show anymore. Jeff and Jordan are going to get married, and they are my favorites. America did perfect by giving Jeff the mystery power, and I love the changes that he made on the evictions that week. Seeing everyones faces that night, was truly priceless. Jordan is adorable and without Jeff I am pretty sure that she would of already been gone by now. I would really love for her country little bumpkin self to win this money and build her family a new house. Kevins facial expressions are to die for, I just love him and his eyebrow lifting at the 3 crazy ladies for crying over Jessie's leave.

I better get back to work and texting Mark about my crazy 911 call (and yes I do mean crazy) but I'll leave you with this picture of where I wish I was at this very moment.

Show us your life-- baby shower

I was only able to have one baby shower during my pregnancy due to bed rest and Charli Beth coming way to early. My family and church ladies threw Charli and I such an adorable baby shower on March 17, 2006. It was probably one of my most perfect days while going through my whirlwind of a pregnancy!
This is my sister, myself and Mom before leaving for the shower.
I'm sure you like those chunky monkey cheeks I have going on huh?
I wanted to wear a dress to my shower, but I only had a few minutes after a doctors appt. one day to run into a store to find something cute and cheap. Well...funny thing is, the adorable dress I purchased wouldn't zip because of that belly I had going on! haha.

While I was on bed rest I was able to put together a lot of things for my baby shower and I loved it. If you have ever had to sit in bed all day long except to get up for bathroom breaks, it gets old after the first week. We ordered soap ducks, diaper cake and lottery ticket cards off of ebay which were so adorable! I wish I had pictures of these, maybe I will dig them out of their box and take pictures soon. I wrapped the ducks and tea candles up in tolie with pink ribbon and scriptures connected to them!
As you can see in these pictures, a couple of very sweet people brought flowers including one of my favorites (Gerber daisies)! The photo album is full of belly pictures and ultrasound pics. I'm sure you can only imagine how many there were with all of the pictures that we take.
They played several different games that included the lottery tickets, word searches, questions to see who knew the most about my pregnancy and myself. I then was able to open what felt like a million presents, I was so very blessed with all of the wonderful gifts that I received. Charli and I have some amazing people in our lives.

TIPS or wishes for a "next" baby shower:
an adorable baby banner from ETSY like this one-
I'm just going to take a wild guess and say that if there is ever another baby in my future that sign would probably be pink...but I'm going for a surprise next time no matter what the "Mr." will think. haha! These are note cards for guest to write the baby a sweet little note or even the Momma! I loved getting advice and sweet messages from friends and family members at my shower! I have a family member that is preggo so maybe I can help out with her shower and use these adorable ideas in it!!

a few beach pics.

If your a bird, I'm a bird

ahhh! Aren't they just so stinkin' cute?

"We laugh, we cry, we're best friends my mother, sister & I"

These are the pictures that we made the night one night just for the heck of it before going out for dinner. I've had a horrible time adjusting back to work and being at home with a lot of shady people and things that continue to occur in my life (oh well!) and have been wishing I was still on the beach laying in the sunshine with my sweet family! Then I watched the news last night and seen all of the tropical storms that are hitting the area we were in! Forget that! haha!

We're back!!! ...and -------- is the winner!!

So we are sadly home (yes I must say sadly since I'm already back at work) but thankfully we had a wonderful and safe trip! Charli Beth had the time of her life learning to swim and playing with the entire family on the beach for the week! I have tons of pictures to share throughout the week with you all. We could not have asked for better weather while we where in the Sunshine state, except for the days we decided to do family pictures! We had to cancel on Wednesday due to an afternoon storm that was suppose to come in (never did though) and rescheduled for Friday. While getting ready we noticed to the left of our condo were the most beautiful clouds and to the right was probably some of the nastiest I have ever seen. Although, we did get our pictures in and from what I have seen they are truly amazing. I cannot wait to share the pictures that were taken by Lesley Foley. If you are ever in her area, I do have to recommend her 100%.

Like I state above Miss Charli did learn to swim (with floaties) this week. But that is a huge accomplishment for my little "squirt!" She liked playing in the sand every now and then but we couldn't seem to keep her away from the pool. I guess that just means that Pa will have to get us a pool for next summer?! I personally think that is a fabulous idea.

On Tuesday, my sister, Dad and I went deep sea fishing for the first time together. I can't say that I did absolutely horrible for my first time, but I didn't catch the shark I was aiming for ;o) I'll show pictures once I get them from my sister. Have I ever mentioned that I also need to invest in an underwater camera? Those are wonderful inventions. Thank you to who ever made those, because they are great for hilarious photos (I'll share those later too)

Here is some from Char's first day on the beach;
BTW, we drove everyone in our condo crazzzyyy with our bubbles this week. But I had a blast making tons fly away with her at a time.

On to the winner =) ....

I got my results off of Random.org but I'm not sure how to post the actually reading that it did for me like some people have in theirs blogs!
#2
Which is Lea Liz!

please email me at paigeleana@yahoo.com with your info!

Now I will let you all in on my favorite quotes I have a lot of them so be aware!!

* all of our young lives we search for someone to love,
someone that makes us complete. we choose our
partners and change partners. we dance to a song
of heartbreak and hope. all the while wondering if
somewhere, somehow, there's someone perfect who
might be searching for us.--The Wonder Years

* "Being single used to mean that nobody wanted you. Now it means you're pretty, sexy, & you're taking your time deciding how you want your life to be & who you want to spend it with"

*I am a daughter, a sister, a grand-daughter, a niece, a cousin, a friend , a student, a young girl and a grown woman .I am confident and scared, terrified and excited. I am loving and caring, thoughtful and careless. I am broken and whole . I am hardworking and determined, but a little scared on the inside. I wish on stars and dream my dreams. I pray to God and cry my tears. I smile on the outside, while I'm dying on the inside. I listen to others who wont listen to me. I walk on eggshells, and I walk on fire. I believe in passion and true love I love you and I push you away I am everything and nothing all at once And all I want is for you to love me ♥

*while we try to teach our children about life; they teach us what life is all about

*Happiness keeps You Sweet,
Trials keep You Strong,
Sorrows keep You Human,
Failures keep You Humble,
Success keeps You Glowing,
But Only God keeps You Going!

*So do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Tag I'm it.

Kels tagged me to list 6 things that I love, which would be super easy since I'm such a lover and all! (ha!) They are in no particular order what-so-ever, but I'm sure everyone will know what my numero uno will be!

1. This girl.

Yes, she is my world. Even though is going through a horrible case of terrifying threes here lately. She melts my heart with those baby blues!

2. My entire family.
My sister should be included in this picture, along with all of the others.

3. My favorite restraunt in the world.
I'm very excited about eating breakfast there this weekend on the trip down to Fl (We wouldn't be American if we didn't stop there on a roadtrip now would we?). The closest Cracker Barrel to my town is about 30 mins away. I know it isn't that far, but my hunger usually cannot wait that long. Seriously!

4. My new full size sleep number bed.

This bed is heavenly.

5. My very own "Small town USA"
I've never been one of those kids to want to leave the country/small town and never look back. I've always loved the atmosphere in the little towns and plan to stay forever. BTW, that really is the our square (it's more like a box and a four way stop), well before they started remodeling it. I'm sure you can see the dollar general sign in the background or I just pointed it out you, but not sure if you knew this or not...we are the HOME OF DOLLAR GENERAL. Yes, we are =) Thank God for the Turner Family or the "ville" would be nothing and you guys wouldn't be able to get good things for a cheap price. OH and we now make Smucker's uncrustables here too! This is a happening little town!

6. New babies!!!!

....no silly not for me! lol. But that is my child in the above picture, flipping people off?? How rude of her.
A darling friend of mine Wendy is having her baby boy today at 12! I'm so very excited for her and wish that I could be there to meet baby Andrew Preston! I cannot wait for him to meet his wonderful Momma and her family! My other sister (Jacqui) is also expecting a baby after years of trying and struggles. What a blessing! There is also 3 girls that I went to highschool with that are having or have had babies already today! Congrats to all of them!!

Now I'm tagging:

P.S.
Can you all believe we had a tornado in our little county last Thursday night and nobody even knew it until the next day. How Strange? Thank goodness it didn't do much damage.

Story of Mommy

My photo
I am a sinner saved by the grace of God. A wife to the 5oh, and Mother to Charli Beth and Bryar. This is my story of Motherhood, life experiences and sometimes even my overwhelming heart all typed out. I believe in second chances, yet the firm hand of parenting. That sweet tea is of the comfort food category. Chickens belong in every backyard. Children should each have a responsibility of their own while helping take care of duties in the home. Sports are a must for our family, and we spend many nights on courts or fields. We consistently feel new to each of the experiences that are brought into our lives. But we are always excited for the journey in which God has given us.
