I was only able to have one baby shower during my pregnancy due to bed rest and Charli Beth coming way to early. My family and church ladies threw Charli and I such an adorable baby shower on March 17, 2006. It was probably one of my most perfect days while going through my whirlwind of a pregnancy!
I'm sure you like those chunky monkey cheeks I have going on huh?
I wanted to wear a dress to my shower, but I only had a few minutes after a doctors appt. one day to run into a store to find something cute and cheap. Well...funny thing is, the adorable dress I purchased wouldn't zip because of that belly I had going on! haha.

While I was on bed rest I was able to put together a lot of things for my baby shower and I loved it. If you have ever had to sit in bed all day long except to get up for bathroom breaks, it gets old after the first week. We ordered soap ducks, diaper cake and lottery ticket cards off of ebay which were so adorable! I wish I had pictures of these, maybe I will dig them out of their box and take pictures soon. I wrapped the ducks and tea candles up in tolie with pink ribbon and scriptures connected to them!
As you can see in these pictures, a couple of very sweet people brought flowers including one of my favorites (Gerber daisies)! The photo album is full of belly pictures and ultrasound pics. I'm sure you can only imagine how many there were with all of the pictures that we take.
They played several different games that included the lottery tickets, word searches, questions to see who knew the most about my pregnancy and myself. I then was able to open what felt like a million presents, I was so very blessed with all of the wonderful gifts that I received. Charli and I have some amazing people in our lives.TIPS or wishes for a "next" baby shower:
an adorable baby banner from ETSY like this one-
I'm just going to take a wild guess and say that if there is ever another baby in my future that sign would probably be pink...but I'm going for a surprise next time no matter what the "Mr." will think. haha! These are note cards for guest to write the baby a sweet little note or even the Momma! I loved getting advice and sweet messages from friends and family members at my shower! I have a family member that is preggo so maybe I can help out with her shower and use these adorable ideas in it!!
