Catch up!

I cannot believe that it has actually taken me this long to blog about our Thanksgiving & past few weeks. It seems that life suddenly got boring besides having a hilarious three year old running around the house. I assume that I could make this blog full of silly quotes by Charli. There would always be laughter filling me blog then!
A couple of weekends ago, Charli Beth entered the Christmas Pageant here in town. We went to church before and then I headed to work. Thankfully, as always my dear Mama was took her, got her all ready and set there with her until I was able to leave work. I'm not sure where I would be without that sweet woman. Lets just say that pageant didn't go so swell. She told me that she was going to go up there all by herself because she is a "big girl and doesn't need Mama with her." Nice?! Negative. We get up there and she sticks out her tongue and puts her fingers in her mouth, yep...just like a baby. It was simply hilarious. No, we are not your crazy pageant Mama's or anything close to that reality show that comes on TV. I've seen some Mama's get extremely worked up and mad, but that just isn't us. We had so much fun laughing at how she acted for the rest of the day.

I was trying to convince her that she is 3 years & not 3 months here.
Lol, as you can tell I am laughing.
Not to mention, I am pretty sure you could see my rear end in this picture.
Thanks Mom for informing me

We also attended my sister Jacqui's baby shower where I was able to give her those adorable blocks that I showed a few post back. She loved them and I was so scared that they would not match the room (I'm a color freak.) But they match & everything went great. Since the shower, Charli Beth has became obsessed with having a brother & sister...yes she means twins. Goodness, love her little heart, she has no idea what she is asking for.

We also had a wonderful Thanksgiving spent with family and Mark's family also. Charli Beth & I made Red Velvet Cake Balls, Pumpkin Bread, Banana Nut Muffins, & cookies. We then added each of these into "Thanksgiving Day Bags" and took them around to our elder neighbors. My Mom done this my sister & I whenever I was a child and it was one of the priceless moments through out my childhood that I will never forget. I hope that we are able to continue to do this throughout the years and it will be a memory that she will hang on to also.

I ended up working Thanksgiving afternoon and everyone was so sweet for bringing my co-worker and I supper and deserts. I wish we could eat like that at work everyday! After work my friend Krystina, Sister, Mom and I headed to Lebanon, TN to shop at an outlet mall throughout the night since they opened at Midnight. We went there last year and it was the perfect place to be, hardly any lines and everyone was calm, cool & collective. Not this year! It was crazzzzy. We ended up with only a few things from the Gap and heading back to KY where people are a little less crazzy (no offense TN ladies) and tax rates are 4% lower! Woohoo! We got to Walmart and got some killer deals. Thankfully, Charli Beth's Christmas is about done, with only one or two more things to go, which makes me soo very excited. If only the entire list was d-o-n-e, I would be a very happy girl!

Black Friday

Are you going "Black Friday" crazy this year?

Feel no shame if you are, because I will be right there with you staying up all night, standing in long lines, and getting my arm bitten off my some crazy old lady.
I work Thanksgiving until eleven at night so after that I will be rushing home to change clothes then heading out. My Mother, Sister, Best Friend and I will be heading down to TN to a outlet mall that open at Midnight. We always have so much fun there, it's not crazy choas shopping like Walmart, Target and Toys R Us will be. I have honestly never shopped those other stores in the extereme morning hours, so I have never experienced the "total choas" I guess you can say, but I will this year!
If you cannot tell, I am very excited! I hope to get all of Charli's presents bought on Friday, everyone else can wait (no offense to my family) but Santa only has so much money this year!
My Shopping Wish List:
Walmart- (BTW- Walmart will not be closing this year and re-opening at 5. The store will remain open & you can start checking those items out at 5. I think this is going to cause so many problems)
  • $5 - 10 pack hotwheels (yes, she plays with cars)
  • $9 - life size barbie
  • $59 -Tomtom -- I will try to score this for my sister since she has to work
  • $9 - preschool games
  • $3 - sleepwear
  • $4 - mixer
  • $13 - 5 qt. slow cooker

Target- Hates me & won't post their "true" ad until tomorrow or Thursday ?! Although if the ad at Blackfriday.info is correct they will have a Nikon cool pix 10 mp camera for $88! Yep, one of those babies will be mine.

Toys R Us - opens at Midnight & I haven't seen anything I just need from there. Maybe when their ad comes out I will find something.

So, what stores are you hitting up this year & what great deals have you seen?
It does seem like Walmart does have the best deals this year. But I'm just praying that Target has some seriously great sales since they are holding out with their ad.

Cuz I'm a country girl

Excuse me ma’am, I saw you walkin’
I turned around, I’m not a stalker

Where you going? Maybe I can help you
My tank is full, and I’d be obliged to take you

‘Cause I’m a country boy GIRL, I’ve got a 4-wheel drive
Climb in my bed, I’ll take you for a ride
Up city streets, down country roads
I can get you where you need to go
’cause I’m a country boy GIRL

You sure look good, sittin’ in my right seat
Buckle up, I’ll take you through the five speeds
Wind it up, or I can slow it way down
In the woods or right uptown

Big 35’s whinin’ on the asphalt
Grabbin’ mud, and slingin’ up some red dirt
’cause I’m a country boy GIRL

My muffler’s loud, dual Thrush tubes
I crank the music, the tone gets real good
Let me know when we’re gettin’ close
You can slide on out, or we can head on down the road
’cause I’m a country boy GIRL

Bucket seats, soft as baby’s new butt
Lockin’ hubs, that’ll take you through a deep rut

‘Cause I’m a country boy GIRL, I’ve got a 4-wheel drive
Climb in my bed, I’ll take you for a ride

haha, I love that kiddo =)
The lyrics are from Alan Jackson's - country boy..I did a leave out a few due to the fact I was tired of marking out boy

Anyways. mail time.

A little while back ago, I won a giveaway from Kelly {btw, if you don't know this already, I love her blog and her adorable kids will always put a smile on your face!} the giveaway consisted of 6 personalized blocks from the Letter Block Shop ! I had so much trouble picking from all of the cute designs, but decided to go with a baby shower present for my sister (not the one in the pictures}! Laura did such an amazing job with all that I asked from her! She has incredible patience, and I thank so much for working with me!

Pretty cute, huh?

Alive & well

Best song that I've heard in a very long time.
&& No I don't think Kenny Chesney is cute, ew.
But I do think that little girl in the pink leotard is!
Look at her trying to be all big!
Makes my heart melt into a million pieces.

Story of Mommy

My photo
I am a sinner saved by the grace of God. A wife to the 5oh, and Mother to Charli Beth and Bryar. This is my story of Motherhood, life experiences and sometimes even my overwhelming heart all typed out. I believe in second chances, yet the firm hand of parenting. That sweet tea is of the comfort food category. Chickens belong in every backyard. Children should each have a responsibility of their own while helping take care of duties in the home. Sports are a must for our family, and we spend many nights on courts or fields. We consistently feel new to each of the experiences that are brought into our lives. But we are always excited for the journey in which God has given us.
