I got a fourtune cookie the other night and it said "The best way to navigate through life is to give up all of our controls." It was so strange that is said this, due to the fact I had been thinking about people letting their lives get totally out of control and then they say they dont know where to turn to for help. God is the key to it all. {Dont worry people, I'm preaching to myself here also} I sometimes let myself get so overwhelmed with problems and think that I have no one to talk to, but I do..I have friend that is always listening and always will. I hope you remember this Aylee, {that is if you ever find you way to this page} I love you like my own little and pray that your teen years are as fun as happy as you wish them to be!

Out of the loop
So I was telling Mom earlier that I really didnt know what I would blog about today, since I honestly have not done a single thing today besides sit at home with Charli Beth. Well, then she gave me a GREAT idea. It would be that dear little child that I have that has hit terrible twos with full force here lately. Or maybe it's the fact that once again I'm not used to being at home with her all day, being that I have only had one day off the past couple of weeks? Hmm...Well, to begin with little Miss Attitude took her top of of her cup (which was full of orange drink), and spilt it all of herself and her bed. Not to mention Miss Priss had just had a bath not long before this. So there goes nice clean clothes and bed clothes, not to mention a white crotched blanket that her Maw made for her before she was born. Ah, mommy-hood...Well, then I tell her to strip down and go sit in the living room until I can get it cleaned up. Yea right! What was I thinking? She throws the biggest fit ever....which then makes her throw up. So now I'm cleaning up, orange drink, clothes, throw up...and now she needs another bath because she has all of this in her hair. {what would I do with more kids? Gracious.} Well, after the bath she is in a perfect mood and everything is great.
Then we sit down at the table for supper, which consisted of veggie soup. Well, I told her to sit down and eat her dinner ...next thing I know she has a hand full of soup rubbing my hair down going "I love you Momma...I just love you"....Yes, i did laugh while gritting my teeth and trying to tell my Mom to stop laughing. It was honestly funny. I do admit it, but Lord have mercy on this Momma. I'm out of my loop of being a Momma thanks to SPD and A.C.S.O but I have to pay the bills somehow, I guess.
Well, I hope you all get a BIG kick out of my night. Pray for me tomorrow I'm actually taking the little ole mighty one shopping to return Christmas items.

My weird obsession
Well, I have this weird obsession, and I am sure that all of you guys do too. To just to get to know me a little more, I figured I would confess it to you all. Every time I go into a store this is on the things that I just make a trip down an aisle to "ooo" and "ahh" over. If I could have TONS of these, I would. I don't even know why though?
Well as you can see I like dishes...lol. Yes, and silly looking ones too. I like the kind that have a sophisticated look to them, and then I like some that are good for just good friends and family only. Like well these for instance
But really how cute are these? I love them. But wait, lets back up. Before I need any of this. I need to learn to cook...not only cook, I want to cook like My Mother and Rachel Ray for Heaven's Sake! I'm just a girl that loves food, and has never been willing to cook other than something easy and quick to feel that big belly of mine! Anyways, I would like to know what your little obsessions are.
These would go perrfect with my new set of red pots,*thanks Momma*

My 2008
My 2008 was crazy, well lets call it a "crazy beautiful completely wonderful mess." haha. I'll go through the months and let you in on my life and what was going on during them of 08.
Jan-I brought in the New Years with the Ausbrook family, Wesley, Charli Beth and Lucas. I had been dating Wesley for a couple of months and we had fun night of movies, and kiddos playing. During this month I also started working for SPD as a dispatcher. Wesley and I took a trip to Gatlinburg at the end, it was the first time I had ever been "away" from Charli Beth.
Feb- Nothing Major happened. Spent Valentines Day with Charli, Wes and my Family. We all went and ate at the local Dumplins' where I believe EVERYONE in town was eating at. Our town experinced a deadly tornado on the 5th of this month, that impacted everyones life in some way.
Mar-Charli Beth had her first febrile seizure and we spent 4 days in the hospital trying to make sure it was nothing more serious all while thanking God for her. We got our first puppy Gunner that sadly passed away from parvo *sp* while Charli was in the hospital.
Apr- Charli Beth turned TWO!! We had a Hello Kitty party at Cedar Spring Fire Dept. and it was a blast. She got a kitten named "Diego" that soon...ran away =( Mom and I did our yearly booth at the Jacksonian Festival in town and it was a success!
May- Mom turned the big 4-0! Wes and I called it quits..and I attended DOCJT this month.
June- I came back home from DOCJT. A friend that I met at DOCJT Trey and I took Charli fishing for her first time at Lake Malone. She caught a blue gill!
July- We took Charli Beth to the Louisville Zoo to see the animals and DORA! She had a blast. We spent the 4th there and with kiki and Kaylen at the State Park watching the fireworks. Kiki and I had a Mommy's night out to see Chris Young at the Wild Horse in Nashville. I must say he as wonderful looking in person as anything else! Vacation Bible School at Clifton General Baptist was fun for Charli and I both!
Aug- I returned to DOCJT, again. Meeting some of the best people ever, and some of the worst I must mention. I started dating Aaron then. I also started attending East Willow with my Mother on Sundays. This is where I still go and plan to.
Sept- My 21st B-day! Spent the weekend in Nashville with my sister, old roomie from college and others! Charli and I took our first trip together to Richmond (yes, back to docjt) to see Aaron and others from Class 396 graduate. We attended Cow Days, in Greensburg and also the Apple festival in Liberty ( I think that is what was called) I started my blog in Sept. also!
Oct- Halloween came so fast this year. Charli Beth was an angel, a beautiful one I must say. We took Charli to Jacksons Orchard where she had a blast seeing all of the animals and picking out her pumpkins! I cant wait to do that again next year! We took our annual trip to Gatlinburg with the rest of the family and had a blast down there!
Nov- Thanksgiving was great...wait, I was at work? haha. Potty training boot camp was complete!!! She also had her 1st dentist apt! Aaron and I also broke up during this time...lol, I'm a hopeless romantic.
Dec- Work and more work. Christmas was fantastic, you guys already know how it went. Mom and I had our 1st in home primitive party, which worked out great!
I cant wait to see what the new year brings! I'll be working tomorrow night until 11 and then coming home to my daughter to kiss her at midnight! Hope everyone has a happy and very safe New Year

A Dispatchers Prayer
Dear Lord,
Give me healthy ears, for they are my link with those who need me. Keep my mind sharp and alert, my fingers quick and nimble. Grant that I never forget how to do ten things at once, and do them all equally well. Bless me with patience Lord. Patience to deal with the public, with the officers, with the firefighters, and with everyone else who makes me want to grit my teeth and yell. Give me nerves of steel; That I may listen to a mother screaming for her child to live, the man with a gun, the family watching their home go up in flames, or a request for backup or more equipment and not give way to panic. Grant me empathy, that I may help the caller in need, and not cause them more pain than they already have. God, give me the ability to learn what I need, to remember it quickly, and give me the wisdom to use the knowledge properly. Bless my family Lord, for they will have to make sacrifices to shift work, overtime, canceled plans and times when I just can't take on one more thing. Help them understand the missed ball games, school programs and dinners for two. Lord, give me courage. Courage to persevere when I feel undervalued, unappreciated, overworked and unrecognized. Courage to keep trying when I feel in my heart it's hopeless. Last of all Lord, help me to never forget why I chose this job in the first place, to never lose sight of what is important in the midst of the stress. Help me to remember that I make a difference; however small it may seem some days, and that I matter. I am a dispatcher, Lord, grant me peace.
