I l-o-v-e Facebook.

What in the world would I do without facebook while I am at work? Seriously, I have the most boring j.o.b in the world. Minus that time that I worked at the carousel in the mall ..What?! But then again, some nights work is pretty awesome, when we are able to chill and watch movies, etc. Although, the nights like tonight after little sleep and shopping my badonkadonk off at Lil Angels Attic Sale, and now all of the officers are ...hiding? I am bored. But thank you facebook for saving this Momma from dying of boredom.

Sometimes I really hate Facebook statuses, because they would look like like the following:
"going to pee, brushing my teeth and hair, washing my face, go to bed, wake up, drop the kids off at daycare, go to work, go to the grocery, pick the kids back up, fix supper, give baths and get ready for bed"

Yea, maybe not that dramatic, but really I could care less what you peeps do all day long. Or some may look like this:
"I really wish that my daughter would grow up and start taking care of her kids."
...this isn't Topix people, keep it classy. mmk?

I think it would be a fabulous time to share this:

{haha, i love it.}

Minus all of the above, what I do love about Facebook statuses are the amazing quotes that people come up with. I love reading them, and then being able to sit back and think of how that "quote" can relate to my life or how it can make my day a little better by reading it. Remember my first giveaway, located here, one of the entries where for you to let me know your favorite quote! So cute {I thought?!?} and I loved reading them! You guys should most definitely leave me a comment with your favorite quotes, since I have a ton of new followers since then!

Here are some of my favorites that I have seen on FB lately:
* Morals make the man, but his actions create his character {my favorite so far}
*Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending
*Have faith and your rainbow will come smiling through. No matter where you have come from keep believing in yourself and the life that you long for will come true. ~author unkown
*To accomplish great things, we must not only act, but also dream; not only plan, but also believe. ~Anatole France
*Happiness is a state of activity. Not having what you want, but wanting what you have.

Okay, on to a serious note! Please pray for my friend Nikki & her husband Dustin, who are expecting Kaylee Nicole very soon. Nikki is only 33 weeks pregnant and went to her regular doctor visit today, after talking to her doctor about some cramping and other issues he decided to check her and she is 3 centimeters dilated which was a huge shocker for us all. Not kidding, I seriously thought she was joking! She is also 90% effaced, they have decided to keep her in L & D to continue shots & mag drip to try and keep her contractions under control. From the last time that I spoke to her, it doesn't seem to be working although she is not in any pain. After her next steroid shot, which should be this afternoon at 6:30, they will start to take her off of the mag. Please say a special prayer for Kaylee, that her lungs will be developed and she will make a wonderful entrance into the world! Thank you!

Swimming Lessons

Charli Beth started swimming lessons on Tuesday at the YMCA, from what I have heard she loved it and done a fantastic job! I sadly am not able to attend this weeks lessons because of the Lil Angel's Attic Sale.
Bayleigh (right) and Charli Beth
I am so glad that these girls are taking lessons together! I love watching Charli and her friends play and learn new things together!
Thanks to Bayleigh's Mom, Shenna for letting me "borrow" these pictures from her Facebook!
haha.
Since I am not able to attend classes with her this week, I took Char swimming Monday morning to get her a little used to the water again. She loved every minute of it and acted as if she is in the water every day. Watching her grow up always makes me sit back and wonder what sports she will play as a teenager. Will she be a cheerleader like she says that she is going to grow up and be? A graceful ballet dancer? Or a hardcore softball player like her Momma?! Oh, I will be a proud soccer Mom too! I cannot wait to see.

We went out last night

...well not really, but Friday night.

Me & Krystina

We went out to an album release for Josh Thompson, who sings "Beer on the table" - if you listen to country music, you probably have heard of this. The guy in the bottom picture is Aaron King, he usually sings at this place a few nights a week and he is Krystina's cousin so that makes him even more "awesome" in my book! I had a huge crush on him whenever I was a sophomore so this picture is hilarious to me! haha. But if he becomes famous later on, then I will have this for the world to see!

I had a lot of fun the other night. It was so nice to be able to let loose for a little while and not be at work on a Friday night. It was a great Momma night out!

**BTW, I heard that Sausage got the ring on the Bachelor, yuck! Mom told me that she looked over at Charli while they were watching it and she was crying! haha! She asked what was wrong and Charli said "I love all of my family, and I really wanted that girl to get a ring!" She cries at t.v. shows all the time, especially Home Makeover! Love her little heart!

So tonight is the big night, that all of us crazy ladies have been waiting for - Jake is going to pick the woman, that he is going to "spend the rest of his life with" {haha whatever}

My predictions are harsh but as is : I think that Jake will pick vienna because he must like the crazy so called naughty type. Or for the fact that this is who he is "suppose to pick" for the ratings and etc. Or maybe he is gay? We will see later tonight!

1. Everyone knows my numero uno favorite show of all time is no other than Grey's Anatomy. Call me obsessed...I'll take it. But I'll even cancel a date on a Thursday if it's during Grey's time! ha! No -- we do not have dvr or anything to that sort. I've heard it's amazing but we haven't went all high tech just yet. We're from Southern Kentucky, what can I say?

Awkward Moments

I am the queen of "awkward moments" and I absolutely hate it whenever these moments seem to present them selves to me. I know that all of you Mama's know what I'm talking about when I say that once you have a baby, random people start talking to you about random things. But it seems more and more here lately people are telling me sad, down right depressing things about their lives and children.

I've had a man to tell me that his grandchild was ran over {just a few days before seeing me} that was the same size as charli {and he pointed at her, saying it out loud to her}. I was stunned at the fact that he just told me this in front of my child and not to mention I had no idea where that even came from, being that he just walked in the store and said it to me. Yes, I gave him my sympathy and I feel extremely bad for their family please do not think that I am trying to be rude, I'm just pointing out the fact that people like to make me the center of their awkward moments.

The other day at Arby's while Charli Beth and I were snacking on some onion petals, this lady starts telling me how adorable Charli is. Not being to confident but I am used to that part, haha. Then she gets into the conversation that she has two daughters one whom is now grown and the other is deceased. She died in a car wreck at the age of 15, the Mother told me that "she let her go out with a girl she didn't know, and she shouldn't have. She was killed in a car wreck, and hates that ------ ------ still this that day" I had no idea what to say except once again tell her how very sorry that I am. Although, I wanted to explain to her that my daughter is only four and was going to ask what all of that meant.

I cannot say that I would not act that way if I were in their shoes, at all. But it seems that these things happen to me all of the time. It gets a bit overwhelming at times, and embarrasses me at others.

Do you all ever have these awkward moments happen to you or is it just my crazy life?

She is a BIG girl

It is official my "baby" is not a baby at all anymore. Where has time gone? I cannot believe that in a year she will be starting school, this year she will start preschool. What? I am not ready. She is ready and cannot wait to go...{I mean she thinks that she is but really she just wants to stay at home with Mommy forever}

Charli Beth's fourth birthday is coming up on April 6th. Yes, I said 4th! Wowzers! She is not taking a sippy cup anymore, hates her pull ups and is moving from her 4-1 crib (set like a daybed right now) into a big girl twin size bed today! I really haven't thought of her being in her crib still until I seen that it was fixing to be taken down to be stored in our basement until my sister or I have another little one.

I am in awe at the fact that all of this is taking place today and I am also not at home to take pictures of this process (huge tears, darn work!) I know that Charli will be so excited once she has her new bed up. We are hoping that changing into this size bed will cut down on how many times Charli falls out of the bed. She is a rollie pollie ollie whenever she sleeps, trust me she slept on my head this morning. I cannot wait to get home tonight and see how it all looks! I will post pictures as soon as we get everything situated!

What a bittersweet day =)

Story of Mommy

My photo
I am a sinner saved by the grace of God. A wife to the 5oh, and Mother to Charli Beth and Bryar. This is my story of Motherhood, life experiences and sometimes even my overwhelming heart all typed out. I believe in second chances, yet the firm hand of parenting. That sweet tea is of the comfort food category. Chickens belong in every backyard. Children should each have a responsibility of their own while helping take care of duties in the home. Sports are a must for our family, and we spend many nights on courts or fields. We consistently feel new to each of the experiences that are brought into our lives. But we are always excited for the journey in which God has given us.
