Be Still My Heart

For so long I have always dreamed of having a big family and syblings that could be best friends. When I searched and prayed for a husband, I crossed my fingers in hopes of a man that wanted the same thing. Thankfully, God has already blessed me with two babies that love each other unconditionally.

The smiles are on their faces when the other is around, seriously makes my world go around. It takes my breath away, and I can just stay in that moment forever - where they are playing and Charli is baby talking to make baby Bryar smile.

I know that these good ole days will not be around forever so for now "Be Still My Heart" and take in these precious memories.

Charli's Cowgirl Birthday Party

Charli Beth's birthday party was on April 7th, so i am severly behind on blogging about her party! It seems like we are constantly busy or on the go these days, but finally I have had a few minutes to sit down and upload. (Sadly, I think the new blogger set up stinks like no other thnough!)

Anyways, my Mom ans Mrs. Shannon were more help to us than we can ever thank them for! CB has told me several times since this party that it was the best ever and that every party from now on should be a horse party!

These pictures are in verrry random order. But for starters my favorite part was the decor and set up that we had on our porch. Seriously, loved it. Very rustic and cowgirl-ish which is totally Charli Beth made over.

Each kiddo was able to take a hat, badanna and to draw a person on their "Wanted" poster!

We play lasso the horse with hula hoops. Sadly, the horse "Brownie" which happened to be one of Charli's favorites was broken and we had a major break down after she noticed at the end of the party. But the sweetest family ever, the Temples went to a store and bought Charli a new one, as did her Mimi.

At the end of the party, I let Charli B let the balloons go in the field next to our home and snapped this picture, which now happens to be a favorite of mine! =)

If we are friends on FB then check out the album for more photos and details!

Weekend Ramble

It seems that I never have time to blog anymore being that I am busy with the Mommy duties as soon as I get home from work. But I must admit that I miss it, being so far behind in blogging makes me super sad. It's like all of our memories are not being taken seriously now-a-days. Ha! I am a blogger freak.

Charli Beth's cowgirl/horses themed 6 birthday party went amazing well! I hope to be able to blog about it this week. I think it was one of my favorite (and her most favorite) ones so far.

Baby Bryar is having some issues with diarrhea, blood in his stool and elevated blood counts. We are praying very hard for good answers on Monday and ask that you pray for him too. Thankfully, his blood counts were down from yesterday, so that is great news.

All in all though as you can see from the picture below our little man seems to be feeling wonderful it seems, minus the yucky diapers. This seems to have our Dr.'s confused and they have been wonderful with helping us to get to the bottom of it.

Charli Beth has been staying with her grandparents and great grandparents this week and seems to be having the time of her life. Sadly, Miss Priss goes back to school on Monday for 27 more days of being a Kindergartner!

Easter 2012

Easter 2012 was very low key for the H's. We attended Easter service at our church and came home to play with CB's toys and new playset that she got for her birthday before heading next door to my in laws for Easter dinner.

We then met my immediate family at Mariah's for a later dinner since other members of our family cancelled dinner until another weekend since someone could not attend.

When we got home CB quickly changed into play clothes and her boots to go back out to play. She is such a funny mess lately!

She did get to hunt eggs this year but I was inside taking care of a teething little fuss pot of a baby. So Mommy faily on my part that no photos were taken! :(

Charli has been reading a lot of books about Jesus lately and asking a lot of questions in reference to being saved. We prayed over this tonight together and I ask that you also pray for her too. She has a lot of questions to be answered as she is coming to the age of understanding the Lords word.

Happy 6th Birthday Charli Beth!!!

Dear Charli Beth,

Here we are again at this moment where your Mommy is baffled that you are now a year older and crying trying to figure out where time has went. It is amazing the joy that you have brought into my life in the past 6 years. The things that you and I have endured together are some of my most treasured memories. You are the best daughter and friend that the Lord could have ever blessed me with and I am so very thankful to call you mine.

Each year you get so excited (more excited than most kids do) for your birthday to arrive, but I just cringe at the thought, only due to the fact that it is such a bittersweet time watching you grow into the beatufiul, smart, talented, sassy little lady that you are. I pray that this next year will be another wonderful year for you. Age 5 you endured becoming a big sister, adapting to a new family, and moving away from the home that we had always known and let me tell you girlfriend you did an awesome job. You are the best big sister to Baby Bryar, and he will love you forever for being as sweet as you are to him.

I could not be anymore proud of you than I am today. :) I pray that you have the most amazing birthday and cowgirl party this weekend!

Love,

your super sappy teary eyed Mommy

Bryar is 6 months!

Gosh, the number 6 is a killer this week! Today B turns 6 months and tomorrow CB turns 6.

Be still my heart.

Weight: 12 lbs 15 oz

Height: 24 1/2 inches

Sleep: Still waking up every now and then to comfort nurse. I am use to it and cherish my baby, so it is no biggie to me now.

Feeding: Every 3-4 hours (except at night) - Ounces in his bottles typically depends on him. We usually send 6 ounces to the sitters, but you never know with this boy. We are giving him more formula to help him gain weight, per Dr. Patty's orders. But he will not take a bottle from me so this is something we are working on.

Clothing: 3 and 6 months

Diaper: Size 2

Milestones: Eating bananas and cereal although he is still trying to get the hang of it. He has rolled over from belly to back and back to belly as well. He is in the early stages of sitting up but will get "top heavy" after a few seconds. Starting to reach for people when they go to pick him up :)

He loves being in the floor playing with his feet, talking and making sounds with his lips. B absolutely loves to watch his big sister and Gunner when he is around. He is still a little sick with his cold but with the antibiotic and breathing treatments he is getting lots better! Hopefully he will be perfectly healthy again in no time!

Sick again...

Out of nowhere Thursday night B started coughing a stinkin' lot. It was raspy. hard and my Mommy gut just knew that it was not good. So I left work early after court on Friday and took him to see Dr. Patty. She said that he was not wheezing but it sounded like it could be close, so we went ahead with a chest xray and RSV swab. I was very upset to think that we had almost made it through RSV season and here he is now with it. Poor bud.

The good news he does not have RSV but is going ahead with 3 breathing treatments a day to make sure that it does not get worse. I can already see an improvement in his cough although now he is sneezing and the runny nose has came full force this morning.

We are praying that he continues to improve and all is well by the end of the week so he can help celebrate his big sisters 6th birthday!

Kiddos Check Up Day!

Oh my gracious, can I first off by saying that this is probably my most favorite photo of my sweet kiddos thus far? Ah. Their beauty amazes me. Even with B's serious look going on, this picture describes them both so well.

Last week I took off work one day to take the kids for their check ups, shots for Bryar and dentist appointment for Charli Beth. Thankfully, it all went wonderful and they both did a great job which made my work a million times easier. Poor little Bryar even recieved 3 shots but only cried for a second, but once he was in Mommy's arms he was totally a-okay again. She also told us that he did not have an ear infection as we were told by the ER. Crazy!?

Bryar only weighed 12 lbz 9 oz, so the Dr asked that I start giving him more formula bottles along with his breast milk. Secretly, I think he has done an amazing job so far with his weight coming from 4 lbs and dropping down to 3 lbs. He was 24 1/2 inches long, so pretty much he is long and skinny! Although, hard headed stubborn to much like his Daddy boy will not take a bottle from me but will from Curtis. He is still nursing like a champ though!

Charli Beth only weighed in at 37 lbs and was 42 1/2 inches tall. By the way, she is turning 6 very soon! Where in the world has time went with this girl? Breaks my Mommy heart seeing her just grow up so soon!

Little B found his true voice on Friday and it seems that every day the boy just gets louder and louder. Especially in Sunday School when we had to take him out in the hall for the first time since he was yelling at people across the room and we could not help but to laugh at his cuteness. (I'm sure you guys understand the awkward moment when you think your kid is so stinking cute but everyone around you is thinking shut that thing up? ...yea that is us.)

Bryar goes back to the Dr the first week of May for another check up, shots, and weight check. Hopefully the little dude has put some more meat on his bones to make Dr. Patty happy :)

Story of Mommy

My photo
I am a sinner saved by the grace of God. A wife to the 5oh, and Mother to Charli Beth and Bryar. This is my story of Motherhood, life experiences and sometimes even my overwhelming heart all typed out. I believe in second chances, yet the firm hand of parenting. That sweet tea is of the comfort food category. Chickens belong in every backyard. Children should each have a responsibility of their own while helping take care of duties in the home. Sports are a must for our family, and we spend many nights on courts or fields. We consistently feel new to each of the experiences that are brought into our lives. But we are always excited for the journey in which God has given us.
