Charli is now the new proud "Mama" of Blacky the calf. She was born along with her twin brother and sadly her Mother is only taking to the boy. After searching for nearly two days with the help of her Daddy, Papaw and Meemee they found Blacky and were able to bring her in.
Charli is being such a huge help and is bottle feeding her twice a day along with help from Meemee. There are actually two others in the same barn but they are a little more skiddish of CB already. But no worries she did name them Silly and Calfie. Charli is such a great care taker of these calves and is giving them all of the love and attention that they need. I guess the little miss was not lying when she said she wanted to be a cowgirl!

1 year ago - God Gave Me You.
One year ago today, my Daddy took my arm and lead me down the aisle to the man that I had dreamed and prayed of for years. The song that played was David Barnes "God Gave Me You" and still today I get chills listening to the song with tears filling my eyes. My heart fills with joy knowing that my prayers were answered and that the Lord blessed me with a spouse as well as a best friend.
They say that the first year is the hardest but I mostly agree with my Mother in Law in saying that every year will be hard because you will always find something new. But I promise that no matter what I will always stand by his side and love him unconditionally just like I promised to do in our vows.
I cannot wait to see where our lives take us over the next 70 years.
I love you so very much! :)

Insta Photo Dump Friday
This has been another long week of work, softball, celebrating Curtis 28th birthday and just trying to take a moment every now and then to breathe.
I am doing photo a day for June on instagram, so my photos for this week are a little random.
Hopefully this weekend I will be able to sit down and actually blog! But we have a weekend full of ball games and some super fun cleaning to do :)

8 months
Dear Baby Bryar,
Here we are again at this same time of each month where I just want to cry because another month has passed us by. You have really grown up in the last month! Way more than poor Mommy is ready for.
On Mother's Day, you took a nap after your dedication and when I picked you up in the nursery you were sitting up like a big boy! I almost fell over and explained to the ladies that you had never done that before!
You are now already trying to pull up although you still hate your belly. But somehow I am sure you will figure crawling out.
You still hate baby food except for avocados, bananas and green beans on occasion. When you do eat you will only take a few bites. Although you do love mashed potatoes and refried beans. I guess you just want the real stuff!
We are still breast feeding as much as possible as well a supplementing with neosure. You are still only take about 6 ounces at a time.
You just moved on up to 9 month clothing and depending on the style of diapers you are in a 2 or 3. We typically use pampers swaddled but will soon use huggies when your rump gets a little chunkier!
Everyone the meets of knows you always say that you have the "sweetest disposition" about you or have the best personality. They are all so very right! Being your Mommy and seeing your big grin with one little simple is such a blessing. You are not talking yet but you love to "scream" with excitement at us! I just love you to pieces! :)
Hope this next month goes by super slow so I can cherish our moments even more! Happy 8 months baby B!

Bumble Bee, Bumble Bee Don't Sting Me!
As we all know I can be an idiot sometimes because sadly I just do not use my brain. But when it comes to my Momma bear instinct and there is a wasp in my baby's room where he is napping I will take it DOWN!
So, there just happened to be a wasp on Bryar's bedroom window during nap time. While thinking, "Wouldn't it just be something if I broke his window? Curtis would die..." I hit the window with a shoe. Little did I know that I am Super Mom........

We live in a society of "Daddy Dumbies"
This post is not directed towards anyone what-so-ever, it is a post that has been on my heart for quite some time and was just brought to my attention again recently.
"Are you my Father?"
It seems that in so many aspects of my life where I am just getting to know people as coworkers, friends or even just acquaintices I always get the look of so called "pitty" followed by the "I know this may be rude" and my heart sinks. Why you may ask. Because I know the question that is to follow. The question that I have been asked on so many occasions, the question that I should never have to answers.
"So is Charli's Dad in her life."
Why of course he is. She sees her Daddy daily. He tucks her into bed at night, kisses her on the forehead, drops her off at school in the mornings and gives her the same unconditional love that her Mommy does.
But the point of the matter is the fact that our society thinks that it is acceptable to be so rude, so heartless and naïve. I can never in my life remember a moment when I thought it was okay to ask why someone was or not in their life, or where they are now. Can you imagine the pain if you were in the situation? Because any time it is asked, it is asked FULL of complete judgment.
What if this person had passed away? And your just looking at them with judgment because you're in a situation with a child that you think does not have a "Daddy." But I am here to explain to you that you are wrong.
"Building Strong Children is easier than fixing broken men."
When the time comes and I have a talk with our child about the moment that Curtis stepped up the plate and became her Daddy. She will understand, and she will love him even more for all of the unselfish love and moments that he has given her. This is our family, not yours, and especially not yours to judge. We may be different than you, but our love is stronger than it ever has been.
So the next time you have the moment of wonder and want to ask where someone is in a child's life. Think of how you would like the question to be asked if the tables were turned.
“Who are you to judge the life I live? I know I’m not perfect and I don’t live to be. But before you start pointing fingers, make sure your hands are clean.” - Bob Marley
